Great historical building which has been renovated to today's softer youth who want air conditioning and soft lighting. Our cheerful server brought our drinks with ritz crackers and peanut butter! I didn't ask the backstory on the peanut butter. Had the blackened redfish with hot jimmies. The hot jimmies spicy and delicious, Beware this place can get load when full.

Service was great, food is good. We had Cheeseburger Applewood Bacon, Seared Tuna sandwich, Eggs Benedict with Cheesy Grits. Mimosas were good...

Well know around the area for a great food. Can be a bit pricey and you maybe in for a wait. I would recommend getting a reservation but the food is absolutely delicious and their drinks a unique and just as satisfying. Fried green tomatoes are always a must when dinning here. You do not need a reservation when dinning upstairs, the keep the balcony doors opens so the weather can come into pay and the service is slower upstairs (had to wait a long time for our food) but the staff is very friendly and again the food is delicious!

Great dinner with fantastic ambience. The fresh fish and seafood are a great choice. The catfish with spicy sweet potatoes are the bomb.

Weidmanns is a gem in meridian. Oldest restaurant in Mississippi (1870). I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. I got the fried green tomatoes with 1870 sauce this time.

Weidmann’s was recommended by a friend and I’m glad he did. The history of the restaurant was really cool. The food was excellent l, you have to get the fried green tomatoes! The bread pudding was amazing too. The atmosphere is really nice and if it’s not to hot check out the rooftop bar?

I had the Mississippi Catfish dish with Hoppin’ John as my side and my sister had fried green tomatoes and Bbq Shrimp. Each entrée was served hot and fresh. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and our server was quite friendly and solicitous.

Food was excellent but service fair. After we received our food I noticed others were informed of tonight's "specials". We were never informed. Disappointing since they sounded good.

After a long day of driving to our doctors from our remote house and spending most of the day at the doctors, we were in need of something special and unique to eat for lunch/dinner. That's when we stumbled across Weidmann’s, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be!The food at Weidmann’s was simply delicious. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving for more. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not only outstanding but also steeped in history, adding a unique charm to our dining experience. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service we received. Our server, Mystic, deserves special praise for her exceptional handling of a sudden influx of customers during a transitional period between lunch and dinner. Despite the unexpected rush, Mystic went above and beyond to ensure that every guest was attended to with a great attitude, a warm smile, and even a touch of humor. It was evident that she was dedicated to providing top-notch service, and she did so with efficiency and grace.Despite the scheduling challenges that come with unexpected crowds, Mystic managed to get all our meals to us promptly, allowing us to enjoy our dining experience without any delays. Her professionalism and dedication to her work truly made our visit memorable. And let's not forget about the food! The dishes at Weidmann’s were some of the best we've had in a long time. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a culinary delight that left us impressed and satisfied. In conclusion, our visit to Weidmann’s was a delightful experience filled with delicious food, a charming ambiance, and exceptional service, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Mystic and the entire team. We highly recommend this hidden gem in Meridian, Mississippi, for a memorable dining experience that exceeds expectations.

Not that this place needs anymore rave reviews but here you go. We've been traveling through Meridian for years. Finally had the opportunity to stop in on a Saturday night. Made reservations online but was able to get in earlier and walked right in. We had the mufflelata, spicy crawfish pasta, and grilled salmon. All were amazing and reasonably priced for the high quality. Also had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer - delish! But realized later that you can get them as a side to your meal. That's the way to go! Finished with the famous black bottom pie for the table and my son asked how much it was because he wanted his own. On top of the great food teh service was incredible. Highly recommended.

Great food. I had the Felix special ; a salad with shrimp roulamde(spelling?) and a bacon and pimento sandwich. It was a lot. So I only ate half to still ordered a chocolate bourbon pecan pie. Soooooo rich.

You come for the vibeWe went for a date night and didn’t feel the food was worth the cost! It took a while to get someone to take our order… they were busy but not that busy. Plenty of servers going by but we didn’t seem to be noticed after seated and drink order taken. Their server had to check prices on the specials for the night and recommendations felt more like a need to try to upsell some of the more expensive menu items. I ordered a NY stop based on recommendations since the guy on the grill was supposed to be top notch… I ended up with a very fatty ribeye. Server never came by and asked if everything was ok. So I ate what I could of the steak. There was no sear on the outside and it was diff to cut and chew. I probably would have been happier with a steak cooked at home. Was not worth the price
