Overall, a recommended place to eat. Very filling large portions. Boudin ball app was the best. Fried green tomatoes also good. Entrees leaned a little bit toward volume vs quality with the wine cream sauces. Salad was nice with the Asian vinaigrette.
I really thought the food was great but for some reason it was far from that.The gumbo look like motor oil it was horrible.The shrimp was good coleslaw was bad.It just wasn't a great experience.
Let’s start with the appetizers. The fried pickles and alligator balls were cool. We had both types of oysters. The charbroiled oysters were tiny and just ok, I won’t order them again. The other oyster appetizer had way too much bacon and jalapenos and the oyster could not be found. I enjoyed my margarita and others seemed to enjoy their drink as well.
