If you can't afford a plate at a minimum of $16 you are more or less are not allowed in the door. They will not accommodate children that need just a small amount to eat if over 8 years old for less than $20. After being a dedicated patron for 20 years, I will not go back. They have changed the batter that made their fish not worth driving 50 miles for anymore, but now they are just like any other fish house, so we will eat closer to home. It being under new management by the owners son could explain the problem.

Small pieces of fish, Cole slaw was good. Cold in the restaurant. Not a good atmosphere for me.

The parking lot was full when we arrived and thought this must be the place to eat catfish! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The limited item buffet included catfish fillets (small) , catfish steaks, onion rings, hush puppies, French fries, corn on cob, several types of pickles and slaw. We paid $43.00. For that price, there should have been more options to choose on the food bar. There were several empty food slots in the buffet bar that could have been used to serve different sides and even a cobbler or two. There wasn’t any tartar sauce either. Strange. But, their tea was awesome! It’s almost like this restaurant has hood-winked the catfish lovers and they don’t know what a catfish buffet should look like. If you want to eat catdish, drive miles north and eat at the catfish place beside Enid post office. They have a full salad bar and large pieces of catfish plus other food choices.

Always a treat going to Country Catfish! Good folks, I know the owner personally, and the waitstaff are incredible! There’s been the occasional hit-and-miss times here, but if we’re honest what restaurant hasn’t had those times? I’ve seen people complain that $20 per plate is too much, but for crying out loud, there aren’t many places left now where you can eat a good meal for less, much less an all you can eat meal. They’re only opened on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 4 till 9, but if you’re coming through I-55 one of those evenings, peel off at Oakland and get some good fried catfish. And by the way, if you don’t feel like you’d be able to eat your money’s worth on the buffet, they one plate options, as well as chicken plates, and shrimp plates.

Kid-friendliness: Good atmosphere for kids.

The food taste great. Way too pricey for only catfish fillets. They used to have whole fish , steak fish , and filet also had a dessert, peach cobbler which is in pictures not sure if it’s worth the price once they discontinued so many items.

Catfish was very bland, only corn on the cob (that tasted like the kind you got in school), onion rings, hush puppies, Cole slaw and stale fries for sides. Was hoping for some good country cooking, but was very disappointed. For $20/plate, I really hoped for a better meal.

We went to eat, me, my fiancee and 10 year old daughter. We paid $60 for barely anything. It's 20 per adult and 15 for an "older kid." Drinks are included but it still wasn't worth the price for their buffet. They had about six options for food. Corn, hush puppies and slaw were good, everything else wasn't. Fries were cold, the fish were small, and not many options on the buffet. Sweet tea was awesome. I'm not sure why this place gets a five star review. You can't order plates unless it's carry out. I'd say those are better bc they may cook that to order. We won't be back. It's sad we wasted $60 on it. We had one plate each and left. Some of the locals told us afterwards it's not as good as it once was when they switched ownership.

Parking: Lots of space to park.
