First time back to McEwen's in a while. Never had a bad meal there. Food was very good, not "over presented", and served promptly. We ate in the bar. The restaurant was moderately busy and quiet. Wait staff was very competent, though possibly a bit undermanned. No real complaints. Solid choice for an Oxford dining experience. Highly recommend.

The food and atmosphere was good. The only thing we did not like is we had young servers that were rushing us to eat and give us our ticket. We did not enjoy being rushed.

Very disappointed in our brunch experience. We have eaten dinner at McEwens several times and it is always very good, but brunch was not. Chicken and waffles were just okay. Waffle was soggy and chicken bland. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was not spicy at all; it was tossed in a sweet, mild Asian type sauce rather than Nashville hot. Steak Benedict was terrible. The English muffins were not toasted so they were soggy and mealy. Lemon hollandaise had no flavor and hardly any on there. The poached eggs were done okay, a bit undercooked with some runny whites. The steak was done to perfection but there was just two bites of steak on each muffin. We were very disappointed in our meals and will not be back or recommend to others for brunch.

The food was pretty bad. All of our sides were cold. My son's steak was well done when he ordered med-rare. Risotto with sea bass was cold and gross and served with liquid all around it. Just wasn't good. We didn't get anything off our bill even though I didn't eat any of my food and my son had to wait for his food to be recooked. Was very expensive and disappointing. Server was very sweet but only offered dessert as an apology..

First time here! And we are going back in a few weeks as we had such a wonderful time. We celebrated my daughter‘s birthday here with some of her sorority friends. Everyone loved their food, our waitress – Emma – was excellent. We cannot wait to go back again in a few weeks.

Atmosphere is very loud. Food and service were disappointing. Meal lacked flavor and shrimp and grits had a layer of grease floating on it.

I had been waiting all year to come back for this filet. I ordered it medium and it was served med well to well. The server did not come back to check on me until after the rest of the table finished their meal. They took my plate away and brought me back the same steak. I asked them again and he brought me back a rare filet. He offered to take it back for a third time and it came back well done. I was very disappointed. I don't know if they have a new chef but I do not think I'll be returning. The manger did not charge me but also did not come to speak to me directly. Very poor taste.

We have been coming to McEwens for years and the experience has been awesome. This time the food was subpar. My wife ordered the Sea Bass, a dish I have had there several time, and it was swimming in a liquid that was supposed to be Miso broth. It made the fish and the risotto soggy and tasteless. My catfish was ok. Our waiter was great.
