Kat was a phenomenal server with expedient service. The food was great and generously priced. The sushi roll with fried rice lunch combo is a must for workers on a lunch break.

The Commodore rolls are a must have

I placed a pick up order over the phone and the girl that took my order was very kind and helpful! When I got there to pick up my order the people working there were very very nice and friendly, the food was delicious , packed very nice and neat, the amount of food we got was very good portions!!! 10 outta 10 we like it best outta all the places like this in Oxford!!

We love the sushi here. They have really good rolls, the fish is good, and portions are nice, we like the sashimi, and some good apps and entrees too.

It’s not the best we’ve ever had (we’ve had a lot!) but we like it and come very often.

Jinsei is fancy and fun, but the rolls honestly aren’t always very good combinations, and $$$ for small rolls. If they were amazing it would be worth it, but they miss the mark too often.

We much prefer here. Low key but always good, and reliable portions. We’ve been probably 15 times. Love it!

Skip the hibachi though, too salty.

The food was terrible!! The service was dreadful!!! I requested to talk to a manager, but the server claimed she didn’t comprehend what I was saying. The food was excessively salty, and there was just a spoonful of vegetables. The server mentioned that this is how they serve vegetables. We ordered sushi rolls, and when the entree came ; I inquired about the rolls, and she replied that she thought I was merely considering ordering them. This turned out to be a birthday celebration that went awry. Additionally, it was my sister-in-law's first experience at this restaurant.

Before 2020 this was my absolute favorite place. I looked long and hard after leaving MA to find a hibachi place and it took about a year and a half. After 2020 the quality had steadily been going down hill. Today was probably my last time unfortunately. I’ll make my own hibachi. The gyoza were delicious but the hibachi once again left something to be desired.

This was the dinner portion and it not only seems smaller from years ago. It’s still $28.99 😒

The shrimp were good but the steak was small and some pieces were a bit burnt even though I’ve ordered all steak medium for over 10 years. How you can probably make these baby pieces medium is beyond me. Also mad I only had 3 pieces of small broccoli for my mixed veggies.

I’m really disappointed because before 2020 I was going 2-3 times a month.

Love this place, food is always excellent, service wonderful and clean place to eat. If you want Japanese food and sushi this is the place to go in Oxford Mississippi.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had dining anywhere. Food was disgusting and service was horrendous. Barely sat down and the waitress immediately asks if I’m ready to order, I notified her that I just sat down and would like a moment to look over the menu. She gets a nasty attitude with me and cusses me out under her breath as she says all’s away. I tell her I’d like a different waitress and she yells at me that she’s the only one there. I ask to see a manager, never saw one. Someone else took my order and the first waitress proceeds to bring my order and water out, slamming everything down on the table as she does. I will absolutely never go back.
