“I was craving a good burger this afternoon so I googled “ best burgers in Petal” The Lunch Box 601 was at the top of the list. We’d never heard of it but decided to give it a try. These were the biggest and best burgers we have ever eaten. They are huge, juicy, and full of flavor. I still have a half burger in my fridge for tomorrow. They also have a Philly-steak that I want to try and they have catfish and steaks!”

“I happened upon this place by driving by and decided to try it one Friday night. I have made several visits since they have the BEST bread pudding you will ever have. Everything we have tried has been excellent and the service is great. If you haven't tried this place add it to your list, and you will be back. Also, try the bread pudding :)”

“First visit to Petes. I ordered the 3 piece chicken wing special and an order of fried green tomatoes. They gave me a couple of items to try, fried okra and a couple of the Chicago mild sauce wings. All of it was delicious! The customer service was phenomenal. I can’t lie, I was a little taken aback because you rarely have good food and service at the same time. I’m the problem, not Petes’. The care they give guarantees them a repeat customer. Salute to Petes ! I will be returning tomorrow or the day after to try something else and will give you an update. Until then, give them a try, you can thank me later ?!”

“I love my local chili’s, but don’t tell your customers a 25 min wait when half the restaurant is open work a little harder sit me down run me out a drink and some chips let me know the kitchens a-little backed up will be fine. Looks bad when half the place is empty and you cant seat people. This may be petty to some but its always chili’s that does this to us. If the place is full I get it, somebody just lost a tip and chili’s just lost business tonight.”

“This location fed our marching band after a rained out competition. We came in unreasonably close to closing time, yet the employees had orders out promptly and with a positive attitude. I cannot thank them enough for feeding myself and my students! Management is lucky to have this team, especially the woman running the FOH, they are what all locations should strive to achieve. “05/2024 Edit: I know this review is already lengthy, but I wanted to say that the restaurant has really improved and has a good crew of folks who are very friendly and make it right if there's something wrong with my order, I now go here on a regular basis and avoid the Hattiesburg location. What a difference time can make with certain locations!
Edit 05/23/2023: The area director reached out to me about this experience and apologized for the issue, and said to wait a couple of days to see if the 1-800 number would refund my money. They didn't. I contacted him after the two days had lapsed and he said he'd let his boss know and he'd get my money back. He held true to his word and the money was back in my account the next day!
He stated the manager would be in touch as well to offer replacement meals, but I still haven't heard anything yet. To be honest I don't need anything free, I just wanted my money back.
I have bumped the review from one to three stars for the good results I received from the director, but ya'll still need to implement the ability to cancel orders for situations like this as well as work on that terrible 1-800 number! I realize this is a corporate issue and not this specific location however.
Placed an order online for dinner and set up the time for 5:45 so I could drive from work. At 5:44 I receive a phone call from the location stating that none of my fried items could be made (about 95% of my order) and I'd have to check "Somewhere on the app" to cancel my order.
Well the app states you can't cancel orders, you have to call them. So I did, and gave my information, but I didn't get a refund yet because the customer service rep said he'd have to send it to his supervisor. No ETA on that, so now I'm out $42 and I still have to find dinner elsewhere when I just drove out of my way from the next city over on my way home from work.
I understand things happen, but give us the option to cancel our order for situations like this!”
