While I love and recommend La Fuente, I must say I’m very disappointed in the quality of the food here lately. The last few times I’ve eaten there the main dishes have been very greasy. So greasy that I got tacos and the hard shells were soggy before i could finish them. Today I had taco salad and had more grease than meat!!! Based on the reviews, La Fuente Mexican Restaurant is a favorite local spot with great service and delicious, authentic cuisine. The menu has plenty of options with hefty serving sizes and suitable pricing. The salsa is perfect, and the entrées are always superbly prepared. The sweet tea is great, and the staff are gracious, kind, caring, and polite. The food is well seasoned, and customers are not limited to a certain amount of refills. However, recent reviews note a decline in quality, with main dishes being very greasy. Tacos had soggy hard shells, and a taco salad had more grease than meat with a soggy tortilla bowl. While the Seafood and chicken nachos are absolutely the best, one chimichanga was not deep fried properly. Parking is very tight, so large trucks should park on the side street. Despite some issues, many customers recommend the restaurant and will return for the food.
