Rio Grande Mexican restauran /Purvis ms

It was our 1st visit here as we were headed home from New Orleans, where we had went to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. When you walk in it's clean with a decor similar to many in South, Mississippi, but instead of being greeted at the entrance you have to walk to the back of the dining room to be seated & later, to pay. We were promptly seated in a booth we had asked for, and the server immediately took our drink order & was right back with it. I wish more restaurants used the Pitchers that they used here as your iced water glass. We ordered and when everything came out it was Good.
We'll be going back.

Went to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law's birthdays. Food and service were excellent! Every item we ordered was delicious! The Mexican guacamole was the best!

The people here are very kind and amazing!!!!

They threw away my door dash order as they closed 10 minutes early.

Every time we eat here it’s gets better and better. The service is always amazing, the food is always tasty, and the price is where it should be. They are always fast and always have the food out super fast.

Food tasted great. Temperature not so great. My fajitas were hot but the beans and rice and the rellano I got were not. The rellano was warm but the rice and beans were cold.

The amount of food was unexpected; it could have fed three people from my order alone. The salsa and chips were freshly made; everything was so good. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. Everything was very clean. I cannot say anything bad about this place. I would give this place 100 stars if I could.

The last time I ordered their Chicken La Chusma I got food poisoning. I will never eat @ Rio Grande again.

MSG in the salsa, beware for those with severe allergies. I’ll now have an unsightly blemish on my lip and poor sleep for a week or more. Rest of the food was wonderful. Salsa would be good without artificial stimulants. I’ll never go back.
