The food was not as good as it usually is. Greens were not hot (a couple at the table next to me said the same); fries were left in the fryer too long... was brought another serving of fries and they seemed to have come out the grease too soon (done but not golden & crispy). The fish was a bit dark too, not that perfect honey gold color it normally is. I had the chicken for the first time. It was good. The cornbread, hushpuppies, coleslaw and pickled onions were good. The waitress was either new, nervous, or had no sense of urgency.

I ordered the Keelboat Special with greens which total approx. $28.00 - got home and discovered a few small catfish portions that was fried "extremely" hard, and missing the coleslaw and pickle onions. I called back and their accommodations to correct the wrong was very disingenuous and the tone was not apologetic at all, not to mention having to drive a good distance to get my missing food. Service there is not the same as years back. Cost is much more and the takeout service is much worst.

Ate here about ten years ago and it was fantastic. I was excited to be able to take my whole family here last month and was so embarrassed at the quality of the fish. The catfish was black, slimy, and super mushy. The waitress was super friendly and seemed to be struggling with being able to handle a large group. She didn’t seem to be getting any help from the rest of the staff. Sat at the table for over 30 min. Before we even got our drinks. After spending over $600 for dinner it’s very disappointing to have to go eat on the way back to the Hotel. Cornbread, coleslaw, collard greens, onion rings, and of course there sweet tea was all really good. The chicken strips were a little tuff and chewy for me but the kids seemed to enjoy it.

I like their cornbread and pickled onions. My last visit was not that pleasant because the waitress was very rude and dismissive. We had to get up from the table to get our own carry out containers, and she only returned to the table once after bringing out our food. Other than that, everything was decent

We've been going to Cock of the Walk for years and always loved it. However, the past 3 times we've been it has been terrible. Never received the lemons or ketchup we asked for. People beside us were nice and shared their ketchup. Never got the pickles we ordered that showed up on our bill. The greens and onions were terrible. Tasted nothing like they always have. Fish and hush puppies not very good. Very disappointed and won't be going back. We may give the Pocahontas location a try before we completely give up on them. The Coleslaw and Cornbread were delicious. So disappointed because it was so good in the past.

we waited 1 min for them to ask for our drinks and only came back with the drinks 10 minutes later as well when they asked for our food they took and we have been waiting for 30 minutes and they only tell us 5 minutes ago it will take a while like nah really I didn't think so. it's just so slow

Been coming here for years. Since I was a kid. Today the service was pretty bad. They were obviously understaffed. But bad management seems to be the culprit. Our waiter was hustling. That being said, waited 45 minutes for drinks. And our table was so sticky. Catfish came out before slaw, greens and even app. We were done eating when the sides came. No lemons. Just bad execution tonight. Hopeful next time will be better. Food was good as always.

For some it's delicious. For me,not good at all. Their fish was chunky. The fries were cold. I did not understand the concept of the small pan of cornbread and you have to pay for your greens separately. It's not pricey but over prices for the amount of food you get. It's a beautiful place and does have a warm atmosphere, if you're not hungry.
