Kathryn's Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant

Wonderful place to go for a date night. They have a live band playing so its a little loud but sounds great. The band was Angela Pittman and the Unfinished Business. They have a dining room side away from the music if thats what you like tho. The food is Wonderful and cooked to order. I had the Ribeye (Pittsburgh Style) and was beyond happy with it the apps are great as well. Also have some really great drinks from the bar 10 of 10 would recommend

11/11/25 My birthday dinner and I chose this restaurant.Met 2 friends at 5:30. The waitress was Crystal. She was informed that it was my birthday dinner.Im over 65 and have never had a waitress be this rude and try repeatedly to engage in an argument . Also the waitress did not know the difference in iceberg and mixed greens lettuce which wasn’t a huge deal but the rudeness sure was. My ribeye was overcooked but I did not send it back due to waitress already being so rude and I did not want to ( poke the bear) No I didn’t ask for the manager not wanting to heighten the drama for myself and the 2 friends with me. She never asked if anyone wanted dessert( birthday remember). I had 2 bites of the steak and left the restaurant as soon as I could. Crystal would not listen or even attempt to understand what I asking for and instead tried hard to get me to argue with her about some stupid rolls. I did not care if there was a xtra charge for them, no big deal. She did not put a charge on my check for the xtra rolls which I did not have an issue paying for them but only wanted some extra hot rolls. Bottom line it was not an issue about rolls but about her bad attitude. Maybe “roll” is a trigger word for her! She ruined my birthday dinner with her attitude! and I brought the steak home for my dog.
Cannot imagine there hasn’t been similar complains about this young lady. It was an awful experience.

Ribeye steak WAS FANTASTIC!!! Alfredo noodles were superb, as well! Great atmosphere with great live music!! It ain't cheap, but it's definitely worth the visit!!!

Hidden gem in Madison city. Me and my friend came here think the restaurant is closed by the outlook, but the inside is magnificient. Great food, cook to the precise order (99.9% accuracy with 0.1% error rate). They let the food rest a bit after the cooking, so it smell really into my nerve. Definitely coming back one day in the near future

I hate giving this place a 4 star. Too notch food and a great mature atmosphere. My reason for the 4 star. …… service. ….. She was a great young girl. Unfortunately we got served our appetizers, salads, sand our main entrée all at once boom the table was full. Didn’t understand it.. But with that said, I will definitely come back here. Went to Kathryn's @6 pm on a Monday to celebrate a couple birthday's and our group of 10 was quickly accommodated. The menu is full and extensive focusing on southern style chop house and seafood with a semi fine dining flare. We got some starters and salads and looked forward to entree's. The wait was just a hair long but I never understood groups who get upset over ticket times as the point of going out is to spend time and entertain one another. Everyone's food arrived on point and thoroughly enjoyed my filet and scallops which were perfectly cooked and at the precise temp I requested. Our server, Emily was professional and a great communicator. Never even waited for a refill. She was everything you could ask for in a server. I highly recommend Kathryn's if you are looking for a good quality steak at a very reasonable price or just want to enjoy some company. When you finish up you can hop on over to the bar next door and enjoy some live entertainment. Great place.

Way too loud, sautéed mushrooms were boiled not sautéed, and salad had big end pieces.

My server Jared Stacy never refilled drink the food was cold steak was actually cooked perfectly. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere but either the kitchen was having issues or I just had a very terrible server. But the part that really bugged me was how my server kept bragging about his tips and how his regulars would tip him 50%. Im sitting there like ya can you just bring me my drink. But all in all id go back to try but if I get that server again im just walking out and id suggest everyone else do the same sadly.

Celebrated our 48th anniversary here. First time to visit here definitely won’t be the last. Food was outstanding. The service was absolutely awesome with a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Kathryn’s for a great anniversary dinner. Ricky and Diane

Very nice place & excellent food & a large bar next door. I had the 12 Oz Prime Rib & it was one of the best steaks I've ever had!

I've gone a few times on the weekend. There is always live music and livelier customers lol. The service maybe a bit slow then but its always friendly and I dont feel like its unusually slow. The last time I went I ordered the ribeye and its a huge cut! My friend had the pork chop and its a big portion as well. As an appetizer I had Sriracha wings and they were good considering I dont particularly like overly spicy foods. For the 2 of us...wings...steak dinner....chop dinner....it was $80ish. I feel like the portions and the price match! Go...enjoy!
