La Capital Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar

La Capital is absolutely one of my favorite places and I'm a very very picky person !!! The owner Oscar and his staff are absolutely Amazing!!! The food always comes out hot & good!!! The drinks, Omg...Top Tier. Nobody can do it better than La Capita!!!! 😆!!! I usually get Pina Coladas, The Best Ever !!! The entertainment and environment provided is always enjoyable and when I leave I'm always talking about what a great experience I had. If you're looking for great food, drinks and good vibes. Try La Capital !!! SOUTHAVENS BEST!!!

I absolutely do not recommend. This is our first time here. Here with a group of 4 for 5 de Mayo. I understand just how busy an establishment can be, I’ve worked in the food industry. I’ve worked for Mexican restaurants. And I’ve worked a 5 de Mayo. So I understand the pressure and being busy. First our cheese dip/gucamole (which is the only food we ordered took 30+min to get here) but the cherry on top was their manger..Oscar was extremely RUDE. I had a question about a drink before I ordered, and his response was “what is on the menu is all we have. You can order or not.” Very cut and dry and rude. The table I am with was also their first time, and just had as much of a foul experience. Will not be returning. Just disgusted with this place. Their advertisement on facebook said respect is required. Well respect should be given to be earned.

The service was bad. The food was also not good. I was very disappointed.

My husband and I visited this place last night. We were seated quickly but it took the waiter at least 30 mins to come back and take our orders. We received lousy service so we left a lousy tip but magically we were charged more when the charge settled, I guess he took the tip he wanted. WILL NOT BE BACK!

So it was strange lol. The ingredients are good quality and everything was cooked the right amount of time but there was NO flavor NO seasonings on both fajita nachos and fajita quesadilla?
Also my kid's chicken quesadillas were made with shredded chicken that almost tasted canned.
Most importantly and sadly ALL the cheese was stringy white cheddar NOT the usual beloved mexican melty cheese.
My theory is that I highly doubt actual mexican people own this business or at least they don't check the food because their Abuela would be ashamed haha

I come here all the time. The services are always great they are very nice people. I love the food ! It never disappoints. The live music is great ! And the drinks are top tier ! I think everyone should visit and give it a try !!!

I experience the worst service of my life I been a waitress for 10 years so I understand the background of waiting tables, but this guy was rude mean and unapologetic

Wonderful food and a great atmosphere everytime i go. The patio area is a comfortable space to sit and hangout with friends in the cooler evenings. Oscar was a gracious server & made our lunch ? visit enjoyable. We will definitely be back again. Keep up the good service LaCapital!!!

Vegetarian options: They offered several vegetarian options that are tasty

Parking: Plenty of large parking spots in a spacious parking lot. if you have large groups, everyone should be able to find a parking space.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of affordable selections for kids.

This is a hidden gem l, it's like a speak easy atmosphere. A great place to take a date and the food was outstanding oh and definitely get the Tequila old fashioned

Best place!! Hands down . I celebrated my birthday here with my family. Everything was fresh to order . The raspberry and watermelon margaritas was chefs ?. The waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. We sat outside and no mosquitos were around. Relaxing chill night. We stayed so long that they had to ask us to leave . We were having that much fun . I highly recommended to tey.rhis place out . We will be returning ...

There’s this guy that’s a server. His attitude is very ugly and sour. I ordered a Dos Equis dressed and that means salted with a lime. He brought it to me without salt and said I could do it myself. He was very ugly, rude and disrespectful.
