Not good from appetizer to entree!
I was excited to try someplace we haven’t been to before and hadn’t been on a date night in a while. Things started off strong with being seated at our reservation time and service being good. We got spinach dip for an appetizer which was good but a little pricey for what it was. We ordered a ribeye rare and filet medium rare. I noticed the table next to us the lady had sent back her filet because it was not medium rare, she got it back promptly but mentioned it still wasn’t quite right. We finally got our meals and the server allowed me to replace the greens I preferred (which were waay too vinegary for me) for Mac n cheese. I cut into my steak and noticed it was medium instead of medium rare so I mentioned this to the girl who brought out the Mac n cheese side. I also mentioned this to our server that the other girl had taken it. I don’t know if it got lost in translation but my husband was about finished with his meal and I was still waiting on my steak which I had now ordered rare to make sure it was ok. I was about to flag her down and say I didn’t want it but it came that same time. It was cooked medium rare that time but I was already getting full from eating my French fries and side of Mac n cheese.
The food wasn’t worth the price at all. The steak wash was way too sweet for my liking. The Mac n cheese was very bland but I was able to add salt to make it edible. They don’t have a steak sauce option. The best part was the rosemary fries - those were really good. Save your $ for somewhere else. We spent $130 before tip on a mocktail, a soda, appetizer, and two steaks entrees. Better just head over to Prime for that.
Food was not good- my daughter had chicken gnocchi and the chicken was too hard to eat- like it had been under the lamp too long - I had the salmon and it was a weird blue color - and I didn’t / couldn’t eat- I did get a comp glass of $9 wine- which was an odd concession for a $100 check for two meals we didn’t eat. - we had the spin dip - it was good- the table next to us had charcuterie- it looked amazing- wine was good- atmosphere was nice .
We luv Noah!
Great meal tonight! Amazing Bourbon selection at fair prices.
We will never go back. The food was ok at best. For those who ordered meat, it was on the tough side. Other than that, mediocre and unmemorable meals.
What was (and not in a positive way) memorable was the wine purchase. The menu says there is a 20% corkage fee. Fine, we didn’t bring a bottle. We ordered a bottle. Apparently this place doesn’t understand what corkage fee means, vs. surcharge.
We got the bill and to our surprise there was a corkage fee. What we learned is that the restaurant buys the wine from a shop across the street and every bottle is marked up 20%. That is NOT corkage. Corkage is when customers bring in their own bottle. That is a surcharge.
The on-duty manager said there was nothing they could do because ‘corkage fee’ was written on the menu. HELLO McFly….anybody home? Clueless?
Maybe learn the industry lingo?
The local members of our group said they’d never go back after this. I hope they stick to it.
My daughter n law Noa had us come eat with them here. The pork chop was top 10 I've ever had. We have traveled the planet. The wine was fantastic & the server Farrah was excellent!
Ordered the crack crab dip appetizer- $18 for a mediocre dip with STALE chips. Waited 30 minutes for drinks. Loud atmosphere - you have to yell to speak to the person next to you. I don’t know what people rave about - absolutely terrible
I came here with my friends and I loved the steak. We will be back.

Great new venue in the heart of downtown/cotton district in Starkville. I was impressed by the service and variety of menu items

Come here for some awesome food! It's not applicable to every night, but I got an amazing steak special with fries and free wine or beer for only $20. That is a STEAL ladies and gentlemen. Brady and Iliana at the bar were super helpful and informative. It was a busy night tonight and a less patient person would rate lower but I understand what it's like. Also, the chocolate cinnamon ice cream is a MUST!

Small portions for a relatively high price, although food was good. Service was friendly. Several things were forgotten in the kitchen and not brought out until the meal was half over.
I would recommend this place, as I'm sure some love the atmosphere and the extensive bar (and above average food for this area), but overall it's not my cup of tea. Good atmosphere for a romantic date, although it was somewhat loud.

Our service was fine, the atmosphere was fine, nothing positive or negative to say. The problem is the food was not good. Actually nothing was particularly good. We sent nothing back, but there were no redeeming qualities. Our daughter’s medium rare steak was dry and overcooked, the asparagus was amazingly salty, the potatoes were inedible from my standpoint, but my daughter thought they were OK. My husband got shrimp and grits and said they weren’t good but they were edible. I would just never recommend this place to someone visiting Starkville and I am hoping there is somewhere better to eat in the town. And it was expensive… not a cheap mediocre (at best) meal but an expensive (mediocre at BEST) meal.
