Stromboli's is so good. It's lick the cardboard box good. It's eat it in the car because there's no way you can hold out until you get home good. It's a family owned business and the people are the nicest you've ever met. If I won the lottery I'd quit my job and go work there. Really.

The food was just ok. The dough they use is good but the ingredients are very skimpy. The beer was hot and not drinkable. There was no service per se, you do your own drink and clean up your own trash. This is more of a college kid restaurant not for adults.

Went today and was surprised again how fantastic they were. Food was amazing- as always. Service was top notch and speedy. Brought our dog and sat in the covered back patio, which was a first! Recommend checking it out when the weather is nice, was cozy and could hear the birds and wildlife behind the fences. Truly a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Starkville.
We were in Starkville with my daughter for Spring Preview day at State. My son is a freshman there so we went and had lunch with him, and he said he wanted to try this place. It was really fantastic, and more importantly the people were great! Like seriously treated us like friends. And it’s one of the reasons we love MS State and the surrounding area in general. But anyway, the food. We had a pizza (and they suggested we do a half and half since my wife and I wanted to share but wanted something different), Stromboli and a Calzone. All were great. Crust is good and soft yet chewy. Very cheesy and fresh and reasonably priced for what we got. We sat in the back at the covered picnic tables and they came out and wiped the pollen off the tables for us before we even sat down. And when we were about done eating they brought us some little chocolate cookie dough dessert things with chocolate dipping sauce because “we thought yall might like to try these.” I just can’t say enough about the service, the food, and the folks. Highly recommend.
