We're from New Orleans. Orderedtake out. The food was great! 5 large pieces of catfish with 2 sides. Husband had baked potato with butter & sour cream. I had the best Mac & cheese! Made with white cheese. Very creamy. Also the Cole slaw was over the top. Well worth the price & wait time!
Some of the best catfish I have ever had, and I consider myself somewhat of an expert in the field of fried catfish. I have to dine here every time I come to or through McComb. All the other dishes are delicious as well. The buffet on Sunday afternoon is fabulous, even if you have to wait in line a few minutes. Also a great deal, right at $20, with tea and tax. Veggies, mac-and-cheese, desserts, all on point, just like sitting around a country dinner table.
While round-tripping with the family, we stopped at Mr. Whiskers for a hearty dinner—and we’re so glad we did! It’s a good thing we arrived early because the restaurant filled up quickly. The place is clean, cozy, and has a charming rustic vibe.
