On Friday's, 1 alcoholic drink is free before 6 pm. Sliders - pot roast and brown gravy and beef. Crack dip fries and Cajun wings.

Little hole in the wall but they have a huge selection of drafts and the food was true Southern cooking. I ordered the pork and greens and there 4 others that seen my plate and stated they should've ordered that. It's was very good at a good price and good service.

Went the other night and was terribly disappointed with the service that I received. I usually don’t post about negative experiences at restaurants or anywhere really but something about how I was treated just doesn’t sit right with me.Tammy waited on a few friends and me and was extremely rude and standoffish from the get go. Even right after we sat down, we overheard her and another customer - that was seated right next to us - speaking badly about our table. I had asked for a menu and she gave me some smirky response that really just turned me off from getting anything else. I did not want to order food after that if that’s how my service was going to be all night. When she brought out drinks, she proceeded to stand directly over me with her entire body touching my back to hand my table drinks, directly over me. She then put my drink 2 inches in front of my face for me to grab…it was actually pretty menacing the way she did it I’m not sure of any other way to describe that part. This wasn’t a thing where it’s bad manners, I feel like she was intentionally trying to be rude and she continued to belittle us for quite a long time.Eventually, she caught the hint that we were not comfortable being treated that way and started to backtrack and act nice, but that does not make up in the slightest the way she treated us.I am always very patient and understanding with everyone in the restaurant industry but this was just no way to treat anyone as a human being. I frequent Blue Canoe often and have never seen or would ever expect the type of experience I had the other night. All I can say is I hope Miss Tammy can learn that she cannot treat people the way she did because that’s no way of going about life, especially if they are paying for a service.

This was pulled pork over cheesy grits with slightly spicy greens and sweet cornbread. It was awesome! I made 2 meals out of it.

Had a late lunch today with the wife after a day trip from Alabama. We visited the Flea market and wanted to revisit the Blue Canoe after such a great time during our last visit. Have to say this visit was not the same nor was the food. Had the Smash Burger and it was not as good as I remember it. Seemed to be very a commercialized patty you could get anywhere. taste was not that great and not what was advertised! The only saving Grace were the fries; they were great with a little Ranch. When we got our bill I was shocked to see a 95 cent fee for No Cash Fee added to the bill, waitress said it was added to all bills. She said the manager had added it too everyone's bill because he was charged and he was passing it along too the patron. First, this is illegal as you cannot charge the customer a credit card fee; this is a federal law to my understanding! Secondly, this was added before they knew whether or not I was paying cash or credit. So, anyone visiting this place better check their receipt and make sure if they pay cash, this fee is removed! "No Cash Fee"! Needless to say, we were not impressed at all with this visit and will be looking for another local place to visit when we return next month. Added Note: we used to love this place and talk about it too everyone and especially love the atmosphere, but something has definitely changed since we were here last!

Small bar/restaurant with limited menu. The items they do offer are made well and are specialty items. No live music the night we were there but I can imagine it gets crowded. Our server was friendly and attentive. Would recommend for a cozy night out!

This was a nice local place to try and I would go back, the food was good and portion was just the right amount. I got the rice bowl I would add a protein next time. The drinks were also good and the server very knowledgeable. I would like to go back when the band is playing as they have live music.
