Atami Japanese Grill Reviews
Found this place on Google while passing through. Overall it was ok, but not great. First, the parking lot is not promising. It’s in a half abandoned strip mall and there’s trash strewn about the parking lot. But the inside of the restaurant is clean and inviting. Tempura appetizer was good; crispy with a good sauce. Ginger salad was below par, with a very bland watery dressing. I had “Atami spicy chicken”, which is their version of a general tso’s....read full review
The food was decent. We loved the spring rolls . Noodles were not that great. Dessert was okay too. Service was too notch!
Visited Mississippi and was on the search for some good cuisine. The food was phenomenal and the service was a 10/10 will definitely return as the quality of food and service stood out. Definitely worth the hour drive.

Atami Japanese Grill serves amazing food, with sashimi being a standout dish. The restaurant offers a range of options to fit different budgets, with smaller dishes and specialty sushi rolls starting at $10 and larger dinners ranging from $20 to $30. Portion sizes are generous, and the simple yet elegant furnishings create a cozy atmosphere. The tube sushi bento box is a great value, and the menu features a wide variety of vegetarian options and a kid-friendly menu. The fish was pretty fresh, and the shrimp fried rice was really good with lots of fresh deveined shrimp. Chicken udon stir fry was also very good, tasting like higher quality ingredients than most Asian takeaways. The crab roll was pricey for what you get. The drink selection was very limited.
