We were on a little day trip from our campgrounds in Gulfport and stopped downtown Wiggins looking for a place to eat happen to come upon whistle stop so glad we did!! I believe the owner was our server she was very friendly !! The red beans and rice were very good!!!
Wonderful little hole in the wall!! Food was excellent! Had the fried catfish and fries. Came out hot and fresh!! Fries were fried a minute to long. Dad had the Bayou Plater fish was cooked perfect and the rice tender. Seasoned perfectly. Parking was a little tricky when it's busy.

Catfish was really really good. Got ours Togo but next time I'm going to eat there so it will be nice and hot too. Parking is an issue but once inside it is roomy and service is great.
