Food was very good, service was kind but very slow. Needed to remind several staff of drink orders. Live musician was too loud - we were in adjoining space to the setup.
The new Buck's has the energy to be a great place in Big Sky...decor, stellar service and food selection. A big "however" is that the ribeye steak was almost ruined with too much salt. Even the cookie dessert was overly salted. A shame.
The rib eye steak was literally the best I've ever had - flavors exploded in ur mouth. Also highly recommend cheesecake with huckleberry puree - scrumptious.
They just opened this restaurant after renovation and it was excellent. Good food, and great service!
Recently re-opened under new management. Same great venue, but the food quality was not at the high level that it used to be.
Super food! Red deer and the special of bison short ribs - great sides and huge perfect desserts that we shared. Very friendly server and host.
Thrilled that Bucks is open again. They are still working out a few kinks but making great progress. All dinners were very good. Trout dip and entree are great as was the tenderloin. Focaccia was better than the last time. Roasted root veggies were great. Waitress (Deanna) was excellent. Only issue was that one of our party ordered the lamb but was served pork. The situation was quickly corrected.
Excellent entrees - local ingredients. Typical pricing for Big Sky but unusually very high quality. Would definitely recommend.
I met two friends from West Yellowstone here to catch up with each others lives and enjoy a good dinner. We're picky, expect good service and good food. We reeived BOTH last night. From the moment we walked in the door til we walked out, everyone was very friendly and professional. We enjoyed a generous calamari appetizer with a fantastic lemon aioli! The half chicken came out somewhat separated from the carcass which was great, not having to dig at the chicken. Very flavorful too. My friends loved their dinners too, one had the hunters lasagna, the other the pan-seared steelhead trout. We splurged on a couple of desserts, One a cinnamon apple bread pudding the other a Brulee cheesecake with huckberry puree. SO good!! What a great idea to try out the "New" Bucks Roadhouse!!!
Since the new management is in charge, this isn't the Bucks of old. Poor slow service, limited menu, poor cocktails. The steaks were still legitimate. I was very disappointed. Still expensive

Buck's is a Montana roadhouse classic. With gourmet food offerings on their main menu (perhaps excluding the chicken), a good wine selection, rustic atmosphere, and attentive service, we had an excellent evening there with friends.
Bad service. Bar took forever (35mins to bring 1 can of PBR), and service made a weird deal about it as if it was our fault.
Delicious from start to finish! They had lots of old favorites back on this new menu, as well as some new items (like a yummy fondue app)! Highly recommend!
This was my favorite dinner experience in Big Sky! They were still limiting reservations due to “soft opening”, but the food, service amd ambience were all A++! Don't miss this spot if in Big Sky area!
Wonderful people. Wonderful place. It feels like home. They care about their customers and provide an excellent service and wonderful meal. Please go here .
