The service was extremely slow. The food was really average. The reviews online in my opinion are overrated as it relates to the food. The location and ambience was amazing. Extensive wine and Spirit list which is very good. Bottom line, not sure I'll take the effort to go out there again.

We dine at Schaffer's often. Their service is wonderful, menu is varied to appeal to many tastes, atmosphere is cozy and views of the golf course are great. We are never disappointed.

We waited an hour and a half for our food. The restaurant clearly overbooked for the amount of kitchen staff. Plenty of servers available. Others were served before us that arrived later. Very poorly run for an upscale restaurant.

The new chef has made all the difference! Food is always prepared and presented perfectly! We had eaten dinner there a couple times after it first opened at the golf course. It wasn't great, so we didn't go back. When I heard they had gotten the chef from The Beargrass in Lakeside I was elated!! We have had dinner several times since, and it is always excellent!

Always enjoy the experience of dining at Schafer's. The ambiance, food and service all combine for a relaxing evening. The Short Rib stroganoff special was outstanding. Another member of our party had the filet which was also delightful. Suzanne was friendly and attentive. We have never had bad experiences at Schafer's because of servers like Suzanne.

Six of us reserved a table on Schafer's outside deck on an evening Tomara Conrad was performing. The music was so good (good luck in Nashville Tomara!). The sound system had great clarity. Unfortunately, most of us had our taste buds set on the sea bass special, but so did most of the patrons, as it was sold out (which we heard was amazing). Yet, our second choices were very good. Shannon was very attentive and provided wonderful service. Overall, it was a great experience. We will be back soon.

The evening was so beautiful. Our server Tom was exceptional. We came to celebrate two birthdays Tom treated both of them like royalty. We each ordered the Thai special with black cod and prawns. It was incredible.

Without a doubt Schafer's is our favorite restaurant in Bigfork, MT. We've been coming here for years and the food, the service, the ambiance has always hit or exceeded our expectations. Love this place.

Very nice setting on the patio overlooking the golf course. However, we found out from our service fifteen minutes after ordering that they were out of the crispy duck, which was one of the main reasons we came. Clams, pasta, and filet were very good but server kept forgetting to bring us requested item. They did comp dessert, which was a positive.
Waited fifteen minutes to be seated, but enjoyed cocktails while waiting. Waitress, Shannon, was outstanding as was the food. Mushroom soup and apricot salad were excellent. Enjoyed the halibut and crispy duck breast. Views wonderful.

It was a beautiful evening, in a wonderful setting with Tomara entertaining us as we dined. Despite it being a full house, the service was great. My husband chose the halibut (his Schafer's favorite) and I chose the mushroom pasta that is out of this world good! We have two future reservations in the next two weeks.

Well polished restaurant in terms of service and presentation of food. The burrata was not high quality which you would expect it should be as a regular appetizer. The Thai seafood soup was decent but had too many lime leaves in the broth. The three mushroom soup was great as usual.
