This was our second time at The Heist, and it was just as good if not better. They have by far the BEST steak in Bozeman. Delicious, tender and cooked to perfection! My first time at Heist was last night and we came in with a large group of ladies for a friends birthday and it was, hands down, the best meal and dining experience I’ve had in Bozeman. The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive and the rest of the staff ensured all our needs were met! J.W. Heist Steakhouse offers an incredible ambiance and beautiful atmosphere, making it a standout dining destination. The menu features high-quality dishes, including the bone-in filet with mushroom topping and broccolini, which is cooked to perfection and has a good smoked flavor. The filet mignon is also a highlight, boasting a beautiful smoky aroma and taste. Guests have praised the 48 oz tomahawk, which many found to be incredible. The 18oz prime ribeye was cooked exactly how guests like it, rare with a flawless Pittsburgh crust. The beef tartare was silky smooth and incredibly flavorful. The wood-roasted beet dish completely won guests over, easily one of the surprise standouts of the night. Desserts and drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The staff is attentive and pleasant, providing excellent service. The entire team, from servers to management, goes above and beyond to create a special dining experience. While some dishes may have had a burnt flavor on occasion, and the prices can be quite high, including a credit card fee for non-cash payments, the overall experience is still regarded as wonderful. Many agree it is worth the money for a five-star steakhouse experience.
