Starbucks in Bozeman

“Great if you order ahead, frustrating if you don’t

I actually really like this Starbucks, but I’ve learned there’s a pretty big difference between ordering ahead and ordering in the store.

If I place a mobile order, this location is fantastic. I can walk in, grab my coffee, and be on my way. The staff are generally friendly and the drinks are good. But if I walk in and order at the counter, be prepared to wait. There have been plenty of times where I’ve watched people who ordered after me through the app get their drinks while I’m still waiting for mine. For a quick coffee stop, that can be pretty frustrating.

The parking situation doesn’t help either. The lot around the Home Depot development can be a pain to navigate, and finding a convenient spot during busy times can turn what should be a quick coffee run into more of an ordeal.

I will say that the employees themselves are usually friendly and are clearly working hard, so I don’t necessarily blame the staff for the slow service. It just seems like the way orders are prioritized and the layout of this particular location can make ordering in person unnecessarily slow.

Overall, I’d give this location 4 stars. If you know the trick and order ahead, it’s a great Starbucks. If you walk in expecting to grab a quick coffee and go, you may want to bring some patience with you.“

“I have been going here for a few years now. The coffee is good and so is the food. I just love the baked goods. My lower rating is because, the last three times I have asked for and paid for an extra shot with my coffee at now super busy times of day as well, they have noy given me the extra shot thar I paid for. Each time, I didn't notice till I was a ways away.( Busy ppl need To be able to rely on, what they order and pay for is actually what they get so they can get on with thier day. ) it's just annoying and dumb when u want and need that extra shot, pay for it, but don't get it on ur ticket on ur coffee nor in ur coffee/frappe u pay for.. Soo Dumb and disappointing when that happens( which seems to be often), this is usually a treat in my day out.“

“I’ve been going here for years, and it’s my favorite Starbucks anywhere. I can’t remember my orders ever being wrong! Everything is always perfect and the employees are the best. I appreciate it so much, especially when it’s early in the morning!!“

“I don't like Starbucks coffee very much at all as a barista myself, but this Starbucks actually made a very good peppermint mocha. Although they aren't really that difficult to mess up, it was perfect to jump start my day onto the next round of driving a few hundred miles. Starbucks is always a quick option that won't let you down if you choose certain coffees.However, most Starbucks I've been to have these coffee grinder/shot machines that grind, press and pull the shots of coffee through a computer. So the taste can be the same for all stores and a little weird for that matter but can loose that rich fine tuning of fresh coffee that a computer can fail to replicate easily.“

“I had a baby 4 months ago, and you know, babies are not usually fans of sleep. I don’t drink coffee, but drink pink drinks. Almost every morning after school drop off my husband goes in and gets me a trenta pink drink, light ice, no berries. Almost every morning they have it ready before he is done paying for it.
These guys have been keeping me alive and they don’t even know. 🩷“
