Excellent service. Had the pork chop sandwich. Thicker than others I've had which isn't my preference but it was tender. Not a lot of flavor. Didn't know you could ask for sauces till it was too late. Guessing their fried chicken and the halibut fish n chips would've been more to my liking. Cute old diner vibe.
We were told to come here by a local. We tried the whop chop, which is a beer breaded chicken sandwich, we got lettuce and tomato on ours. The breading process gives this a less greasy and more solid crunch than your typical fried chicken. We got the jo jos as the side, which is a potato cut into 4 and fried. Not bad just like a large potato wedge fry. If you're already in the area, it's worth a try.
This was my first time at this location. We visited on a Saturday night for supper. It was pretty slow inside but the counter had a lot of orders waiting for pick up. We ordered fairly quickly at the bar for carry out. The wait time was average. We ordered the infamous pork chop sandwich. It was a little disappointing though as we didn't know it was deep fried. Prices were very reasonable. The place has a great history.
