I haven't been here in 10+ years because the food & service stunk. I've heard they made a big push to improve in recent years, so I gave them another try, and I'm glad I did. Good food; I had some special instructions as to how I wanted my breakfast prepared (at 4:PM. yes, I'm one of THOSE customers) and the cook complied exactly. My server was great. Even though she was the only one handling the whole place, she was still cheerful and did a great job.
We wanted to try Cody Bill's for their steak dinner, but they were closed for remodeling. Good time Charlie's didn't have a ton of people, so we decided to try them to see if we liked it. First off, the waitress was outstanding. She took our order and was honestly very friendly, patient, and very helpful. A nicer diner vibe with a fairly extensive menu. We had an excellent server - Nancy's are the best, aren't they? We tried their lollipop wings - drenched drummer tea! Meaty and good. The teriyaki was a little heavy but still good. I opted for biscuits and gravy with bacon and the Charlie's chips - deep fried potato slices. Very nice.
