Bad Betty's Barbecue and Catering Company

My toxic trait is that I'm the gatekeeper of good barbecue. I'm from Alabama and we all have a hickory chip on our shoulder. This place blew me away! I talked with the pitmaster and I won't give the secret away, but you've got to try the ribs (and the pork and the chicken and the burnt ends). I nicknamed the macaroni crackeroni for obvious reasons. Seriously the best barbecue I've had North of the Mason Dixon and maybe the best ribs of all time.

I was disappointed. I’ve been to this place once before..:..it was great. This second time was different. The food was cold (brisket) and it looked like it had been stomped instead of sliced before it was served to us. Needless to say…we only drank our soft drinks and left.

They catered our small wedding reception and the food was wonderful. They answered all our questions ahead of time and were very helpful considering we were planning this event from out of state. An excellent experience overall!

I’ve always been an acolyte of the BBQ and all sacraments that accompany the BBQ but the brunch you catered this morning was as close to spirit as anything. I want to be buried with the pear French toast with lavender syrup! Good thing that’s likely some years away so I hopefully enjoy it again.

Trash bbq:
Cold beans
Order of burnt ends were terrible and mostly slices of dry flat meat... not sure they understand what burnt ends are.
Brisket was over a day old and dry.. no flavor
Sausage was cold, tasted like a regular sausage from the meat block.
Pudding had that fake out of a box flavor.
Mac was decent
Ribs were decent favor 6/10 but super dry.

Catered a rehearsal and we got wayyyyy less food than the family paid for by several several servings. No interaction when delivering, seemed very put out.

I've been trying to eat here for four days in a row now, it seems like they don't keep their posted hours or bother to turn off mobile ordering while they're closed. They're more than happy to take your money for food you'll never receive.

Bad Betty’s catered our wedding and it was great! They were easy to communicate with and made the process very simple. They delivered the food and set everything up for us. The food was absolutely delicious!

We paid Bad Betty’s to cater an event. We paid them up front and they never showed up. Completely unacceptable and beyond disappointing.

Bad Betty's BBQ is awesome! A good selection of meats and sides with combo platters if you can't decide. The portions are a good size also and the price is very reasonable. I tried the ribs platter and a side of beans....Delicious!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars for service is that the wait time for the food was pretty long... but well worth it!

LOVE Betty’s!!! The food is outstanding and the staff always so nice. I only took away a star because of its tiny seating area and their hours suck but I’m a regular when they are open!

I don’t normally eat at the same place twice, especially when I’m in a new city. I’m the kind of person who’s just trying to find that one go-to spot so if someone ever asks, “Hey, where’s the best barbecue around here?” I’ve got an answer. Well, now I do. Bad Betty’s Barbecue is that spot.

The vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. The woman working the counter was super nice didn’t catch her name, but she was great. I asked for a platter, and she hooked me up with a mix of different meats. Every single one of them was on point, tender, flavorful, and smoked just right. I didn’t talk once during the meal. I just ate. That says it all.

They don’t skimp on the portions, either, but the quality is what stood out the most. You can tell they care about what they’re putting on the plate. If you’re anywhere near this place and you’re craving legit barbecue, don’t even think twice, go to Bad Betty’s. I’ll be back for sure, and next time I’m bringing someone with me.

Just picked up 2 rack of ribs, ate a whole one myself (couldn’t stop eating). Now it’s nap nap time! Thanks Calvin you’re an artist!

Awesome food, big portions. Easy to find. I seen a interview from Davey Montana on neighbors and I had to try this. Glad I did, absolutely delicious. I will be back in the future. 👍👍
