Benny’s reservation and billing strategy is awful. I made reservations for 6 people, and was required to put $100 onto my credit card to secure the reservation. It was explained to me that the $100 would be applied to the bill. They didn’t tell me that they won’t give you separate checks, which is crazy difficult when you have 2 couples and 2 singles in your party, all wanting to pay with credit cards. It was a genuine cluster when it came time to pay the bill—took twenty minutes to figure it out! BTW, the pork chop, stroganoff and smash burger were delicious. The curry, not so much—very little chicken, lots of potatoes and served with rice. Starch!

We’ve gone here multiple times at this point and whenever people visit we recommend this place. The staff is kind, the food is wonderful and the flavors are montana and pure. A wonderful farm to table style restaurant.
I love the beef stroganoff, the focaccia and others. There’s something for everyone here. Come here for a date night, a family get together or some many other fun reasons. This place is one of our top “fancy” resteraunt in Helena.

I haven’t been to bennys in a while and boy was I shocked. For a bowl of soup, a side salad and tea it was 30$. The salad was little more than apples and lettuce and the soup was mushroom and lentils. Not exactly expensive ingredients. I also asked for no onions on the salad. What did I get? A lot of onions. The waitress was not that Will not be coming here again. Too bad

Parking: City parking rules for lot and downtown streets during day time hours. Always has parking available, but there is a small fee to the city until 5 pm.

Fantastic bistro. The service was on point, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was the most delicious we've had in Montana. The Pacific Salmon was the best I've tasted, and I lived in the Pacific Northwest for half my life. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Benny's Bistro will be a scheduled stop each time we are in Helena from now on.

This is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Montana. For context, my job requires that I visit just under 50 locations around the state every six weeks. I’ve been AROUND. I ordered the tomato soup and the crème brûlée- both the best I’ve ever had. On top of the amazing food, they had a live band playing, as well as fresh-cut flowers and lit candles at every table. Service was incredible and prices were fair. This is a must-try if you find yourself in the Helena area.

We stumbled on to this absolute gem 1 block from central downtown Helena. As we walked in, a pianist was playing on a baby grand piano. This set the mood for an intimate dining experience. We were warmly greeted by wonderful staff and received attentive service by Tizer. Thank you Tizer for making our time at Benny’s so special. We enjoyed a Duck Bruschetta appetizer, Beet Salads, Wild Mushroom Fettuccini, Wild Sockeye Salmon, and the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Raspberry Coulis. The farm to table freshness, flavor, and variety of meal options was such a treat and the best meal we have had on our trip this far. We will definitely make a trip back to Helena specifically to visit Benny’s Bistro. Thank you to the owners, Chef, and entire staff. Bravo!
