100% Recommend. Every time I have ordered the BBQ Pork or All That Jazz Po boy, they are always consistent on the flavor. I have never left here hungry. Whenever I call and order ahead, they have food ready in 5-10 minutes after I hang up. If it’s a large order, they package everything in a neat and well balanced box. Customer service is always friendly and fast.

We called ahead and showed up with a group of 32 high school choir students. They were prepared for us and got us through quickly, bringing out the first orders before everyone had even ordered. They were friendly and helpful and we had a great meal and a lovely time.

If one can get past the neanderthal political "humor" that decorates the cafe (which I wouldn't mention, but they never had it before, and it was far more pleasant without it), the service is far and friendly, the portions are very generous, and the quality of the food is pretty darn good.

We used to love Cafe Zydeco when downtown and in its westside location but our recent experience had spice-less "cajun" food, disappearing servers, and left us wondering what happened to the old recipes and cooks. The hushpuppies are still addicting.
