I just don't know how you beat or improve on the burgers or potatoes. Even the salad was wonderful. On a trip up to Glacier National Park, we stopped in Helena to eat and we're so glad we ate at Old Salt. Our meal was so mouth-watering-delicious that we came back at least twice more before we flew home. Really love the burgers here, probably some of the best I've ever had.
It is sometimes busy and loud and the seating options can be limited since it is so busy at times. Worth a visit anyway.
I think the beef fat potatoes is a interesting idea but the three times I've had them they were just extra crispy potatoe chunks without seasoning, maybe I'm missing something.
