Came from out of town and was really looking forward to trying the staggering ox. Went in on a Saturday around 2 and they were completely out of bread. The young girl at the counter was very rude, and when we finally did get our food, it took over 30 minutes, and I got the teriyaki bowl it was awful. Lots of rice with a little chicken, broccoli and cauliflower? Not impressed.

Solid local montana chain here in Helena. They have a big menu with lots of options to choose from. I recommend the The Texan All American burger with Chipotle ranch sauce. The teriyaki chicken bowl and the chili are pretty good as well.

I go to Staggering Ox very often during the week on my lunch hour. It's always unbelievably busy during that time (12 to 1), but the staff is never short of amazing. They're always kind and attentive and very hard working. The food is great. They do punch cards for sandwiches as well if you plan on visiting regularly. My favorite sandwich place in Helena by a long shot.
