Food was okay, served by grumpy waitresses who could be heard saying nasty things to the cooks (who looked like they hadn’t bathed and were handling food with bare hands) and it seems unless you’re a regular you got the very basic treatment. There are better places to go in

My wife and I decided to try the Early Bird because we hadn't been there for a few years. We walked in and a sign said "Please seat yourself at a clean table." We looked around the restaurant and all but one table hadn't been bussed, about half the the tables. The other half were occupied. The one table we sat down at looked clean. I noticed a small piece of egg, the table. When the waitress came, she scolded us for sitting at a table that was not clean and proceeded to whipe it. She grumbled something and left. She returned with our table set-up and took our drink order, being completely rude. She brought our drinks and never returned to take our order. We sat for 20 minutes and watched her pour other patrons coffee and take their plates. I made eye contact with her once and raised my hand. She ignored us. We walked out along with another couple that got the same treatment. Unfortunately I can't give a food review and never will for this place. I can only give a review on the rude treatment and horrible servive.

Absolutely the best Spanish Omelette I have ever had! They make their own Spanish Cheese Sauce … I’m always wanting more cheese, this recipe’ out of the world’! Visiting from Great Falls, MT they didn’t disappoint! ??

Well after 2 years in Helena we finally got around to trying the early bird cafe. In my opinion there aren't a lot of good restaurant choices in Helena, so I was hopeful for Early Bird.We looked online and determined that both my wife and I wanted to try the chicken fried steak, because that was supposed to be one of their best entrees, and so we were very disappointed to find that when we arrived they were totally out! At first I was going to take away a star for that but then I realized that that could happen anywhere.Instead I got the breakfast burrito, and it was large, although not quite as large as I had imagined it would be, especially compared to wife's Spanish omelette, which with her hashbrowns and toast, completely covered her plate. It was ginormous.My girls got a pancake each, and they were huge, only one of my girls finished their pancake. They were about 8" and very thick, so that was a good deal and filled them up too.They were also VERY attentive, always refilling the coffees and waters, and asking how we were doing multiple times. They got more busy around 8 am though.Overall it was a good experience, so we plan on going back for the chicken fried steak soon, and I will update this review with another when we get it.

Horrible experience. Waited an hour for food, and food came out cold. Waitress never checked on us. A different waitress came over and asked if we were okay, we explained that the food was cold. She just walked off!!! Didn’t even try to fix it!! 0/10

Went in today September 30 to bring my two sons out to breakfast unfortunately our food never came after 50 minutes There were flies flying all around the restaurant and the male bathroom was atrocious definitely will not be going
