“Excellent hospitality! We had booked a cabin in the woods a few miles away, but had to leave for unforeseen circumstances. We were hungry, it was too cold to tent-camp with little kids, and we were about 2 hours from home. On our way home, we stumbled into the Blue Nugget by chance, hoping to grab dinner. I thought my husband was joking when he said they had a kids play area, but he wasn’t. It’s a bar but they have a back room full of tables and kids toys (perfect for our under age 7 group). The food was excellent—the maple cheese curds and pork burrito were highlights. Great selection of teas and hot sauces. We loved looking at the sapphire jewelry that was displayed by the bar. We were talking to our server about how we had to unexpectedly drive home that night, and she asked us if we wanted to stay in their cabins. It was such a surprise—they just happened to have a couple of cabins on the property that perfectly fit our family. They were clean and warm and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again next time we camp this way!”

I indulged in the brisket, chicken, pork, and okra, and each dish was a masterpiece. Choosing a favorite is impossible; I eagerly anticipate exploring the entire menu.
