Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. We’ve been here before but this time the food exceeded my expectations. We ordered crab cakes (lacked moisture and didn’t seem fresh- not the fault of the restaurant) for the starter and Yukon gold mash (over whipped) for dinner and they were mediocre but everything else was AMAZING. We had the filet, beef ribeye (mouth watering), mac n cheese, asparagus and the flourless chocolate soufflé. And we each had a glass of wine and both...
Nice atmosphere and good service. The food is good but overpriced. Twice baked potato, shareable(?), was literally half a baked potato and cost $12 and was not even hot. Not worth the $200 we spent.
We went to Mercantile Steak to celebrate an anniversary, and it was fantastic. We were treated with a card on our table, congratulating us on our anniversary, signed by the staff of the restaurant.
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and made great recommendations.
The food, as always, was top drawer.
The experience was a perfect start to our anniversary get away.
