Went in on a quiet Tuesday to a chill atmosphere not too crowded with enough seating to fit a crowd if it appeared. Staff were nice and moved through orders quite quickly. I personally asked for cafe au lait in a house mug. When I was asked about what size I said large. My wife asked for a London fog oatmilk both came out within 5 mins while they taking other orders. Unfortunately mine came out in a paper cup as they marked it to a size their house mugs dont come in. Little frustrating as Im not too happy making waste and paying more than what I asked to get. Yet the drinks came out swell. Not too much syrup in the London fog and cafe au lait had a nice balanced steamed milk to drip ratio. My wife got their breakfast lil piggy sandwich. It came out golden and crunchy with warm chips on the side. The salsa on the side had a lot of flavor with no heat just warmth.

If you are in downtown Kalispell, stop in to Montana Coffee Traders for great coffee and soups. This is a good meeting spot too. They have food to go and interesting yet delicious combinations of food. I pop in each Saturday that I'm downtown as well as meetings for work.

The peach muffin with cream cheese frosting is something out of this world awesome. Also had a plain coffee and a scone. Great pricing!!
I just went in an ordered biscuits and gravy with a coffee great coffee, but i I'm pretty sure they served me biscuits and stroganoff.

Ambiance was nice upon entering. Knick-knacks and impulse items were cool to browse. Ended up with a couple of stickers. I ordered an Iced Rishi London fog latte and little piggy. My girlfriend ordered an iced vanilla latte. The service was initially very nice and polite, but after we got our food and drinks, I was not satisfied. The Rishi London fog, tasted like milk w a hint of tea. I went to go exchange it and asked to get an iced vanilla latte too. The lady who took our order was happy to do it but the, I assume manager, was quick to coach the employee in front of me, stating the employee "must find out what's wrong with the drink". I ended up getting the latte and it too tasted like milk, not like the other coffee- forward vanilla latte that my girlfriend got. The little piggy was okay, I enjoyed the salsa it came with and the inside components of the sandwich, but my only issue was the outer layer was very crunchy. Overall I would give this place a higher rating but the coaching in front of me was a major vibe kill...

Was looking for some good breakfast while on a trip and this place did not disappoint.Tried a few of the breakfast sandwiches which were big and the pastries were delicious. Coffee was smooth and rich with flavor.Great place to grab some food before hiking.

I've been visiting Montana Coffee Traders every time I'm in Kalispell visiting family and have always looked forward to coffee and breakfast here. This last time in August 2023, I was disappointed that breakfasts are no longer served at this location. The service was not as friendly as my previous experiences. The coffee was as amazing as ever, though. I'll still be picking up coffee on my future visits, but I'm sad to see the breakfast options gone.
