I’m not one to write reviews, but this was awful! I got food to go, and it was terrible. Spent $25 on extremely over cooked chicken strips, for a business that is supposed to be “fancy” I’ve had better chicken strips at fast food joints. Really unfortunate.

I didn't realize this place is heavily advertised until after I went to it. I find their ads saying, "You haven't been to Montana until you have been to Jakers" laughable. They do the same for Colorado and I know that state better than Montana. Trust me, you aren't missing out by not going to Jakers. The food was overpriced and not very flavorful. I went there after a long day of driving, so I needed something hearty. They are good at hearty food. I will give them that. If you are looking for something cheaper and better quality though, I recommend Paradise Falls, which is nearby.

We were there in April. Just a superb place. Friendly staff, good food, great value. Just can't hardly get that anymore.

Started out good with the dragon tail appetizer, then all downhill from there. Bloody Mary was very bland, plus no shrimp or celery as advertised. After 25-30 minutes the server brought scones with an apology for the food taking so long. After at least 10 more minutes our food arrived. The fish and chips were cold, and the steak was lukewarm at best. Sent the fish back to reheat but it was barely warmed up. Quite disappointed to say the least. The server was great but unfortunately the kitchen was not.

Second time at Jakers was just as good as the first. And there was a special highlight. We split the Billion Dollar Salad. There's a reason it is so popular. The ingredients go well together and the blackened chicken was cooked to perfection, moist, tender and full of flavor. Our server Cheryl too good care of us. I have to say the highlight was the pizza cook. Magnus is a star. We sat right in front of his station and loved watching him throw pizza dough like he was from Naples. They should be playing Funiculi, Funicula in the background. Next time we're at Jakers we're ordering a pizza!!

Food was ok. Way overpriced for the food. Service was good. If you have to beg to get free bread, you know the owners are just in it for your money.

The strawberry chicken salad is delicious. Love the poppy seed dressing. I did take out but had a glass of wine while I waited. The bartender was efficient and friendly. Unfortunately my salad one of the main ingredients, the chicken. I did call and the person who answered the phone and understood my disappointment and did what he could to make it right. I appreciated his willingness and ability to help me out. Hopefully the message got back to those bagging. I’ll go again but will definitely check it before I leave.

Where to even start. We grew up here and when we got back to town for a visit were so excited to get to take my mom back to Jakers for her birthday. It used to be such an enjoyable experience-delicious food, excellent staff, enjoyable atmosphere. And tonight we found it to be the worst dining experience of our entire trip. I can't possibly list all of the things that happened this evening, but here are a few: *The Thai Noodle Salad with "spicy Thai vinaigrette" was actually served with just poppy seed dressing on the side. And the server first INSISTED that it was the correct dressing (trying to convince us that, yes, the poppyseed dressing we might order for our house side salad is indeed the same spicy Thai vinaigrette that this entree salad is tossed with) then later blamed the kitchen staff for not doing it right. Let me warn you-poppy seed dressing does NOT pair well with ahi tuna, and there was nothing "Thai" about that meal. *The $39 Almond Crusted Halibut was supposed to have béarnaise sauce but we didn't bring a magnifying glass so we can't confirm if it was there. The other, almost comical, thing about it was the presentation. One piece of fish on some rice, on the edge of a large dinner plate. Half the plate was empty-looking like it was waiting for some roasted vegetables or something. The side salad had come earlier but I still have no idea why that fish was served like it was. A smaller plate or even some kind of garnish (or maybe actually putting the sauce on it?) would have made it look more appetizing and less like a McD's filet-o-fish without a bun. *The crème brûlée was.....not. We were debating if it was even the consistency of pudding, but decided it was more like melted vanilla ice cream. In taste and consistency. *2 of the 3 dessert spoons were dirty. One was just not clean, the other was just served right smack in the berry compote, handle and all. *Our server was FULL of excuses and blaming his co-workers, in a RUSH (my mom gave him her dessert order and he started to leave immediately without asking the rest of us if we wanted dessert), not intuitive (basket of scones and butter but no plates to set them on? Not noticing he served a spoon completely sunk into the sauce...), and at one point even dropped his pack of gum out of his sleeve into our basket of scones. He did comp the salad and the crème brûlée but honestly, they were inedible so that wasn't really a win. I am giving an extra star because the seafood linguini and cheesecake were tasty. But this was really a 1-star experience. I didn't take pictures of everything-I wish I had, but here are a couple. Sad that a once well-thought of Missoula restaurant has taken such a dive. ETA: Removed the extra star. I just went and looked at the menu. The halibut SHOULD have had a side dish with it-the huge empty space on the plate was supposed to have some veggies! How would the server not notice that? Just awful.

Great food and service was great considering the new normal. Will definitely be back here when I am in town.

An average steakhouse with above-average steak & chefs!I grabbed a seat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by a very friendly and cordial bartender who promptly took my order. I can’t remember what cut I ordered, but it was actually properly seasoned! Unfortunately too many steakhouses don’t season their dishes properly, if at all, which really takes away from the meal.Typically this kind of service would just warrant a 4/5 star experience from me, but when I stopped in here I was on the middle of a road trip in my RV. I asked if I could stay in their parking lot overnight until sunrise, and they allowed it which was very kind of them. I would not recommend doing this though, since I had two uncomfortable experiences with strange individuals in the middle of the night in this lot. Not the restaurant’s fault though!Great food and great staff! ?

I ordered online via google maps for delivery which was fulfilled DoorDash. The delivery driver arrived to the restaurant to be told they had a computer glitch and just started the order. Okay so we waited about 30-40 minutes longer. My Thai Noodle Salad arrived without any protein and in a pool of liquid and brown avocado. Another time I tried to order from this restaurant via phone they put me on hold for >10 minutes and forgot I was on the line. I was hoping online ordering would be easier. My salad was very watery and the overall flavor was okay but hard to know what it is supposed to taste like. Not sure if their pricing is worth the hassle.
