Walking into Zoo Thai in Missoula felt like being serenaded by a pad Thai choir—flavors dancing so hard, I half-expected them to break into a chorus. And don’t worry, vegetarian friends: the veggie options here are so plentiful, you might think the menu is on a plant-powered mission.

The ambiance? Think “Southeast Asian spa meets Montana chill.” It’s cozy, welcoming, and somehow feels like your best friend’s living room—if your best friend played sitar and served coconut curry.

The food? Unbelievably good. I attempted a casual “just one bite” of my spring rolls and ended up questioning every life choice that led me away from Zoo Thai sooner. The veggie pad see ew? Let’s just say it has more charisma and flavor than my uncle at a karaoke night.

If you’re in the mood for a culinary party—especially if you're vegetarian or just veggie-curious—Zoo Thai is your flavor safari. Warning: you may emerge refusing to ever eat sad desk lunch again.

I was absolutely blown away by this place. Me and my partner came here and shared a few things. We got the eggrolls, steamed dumplings, and I got the “pad see ew”. Each bite was new flavors and everything paired so well together. Everything was incredible. We will definitely be coming back!

Very confusing interaction with our server.

Beware that the spice levels are not the same across all dishes. A 2 star spice on a curry is not the same as a 2 star spice on a noodle dish.

Ordered takeout. Paid extra to add broccoli to my meal, didn't come with broccoli. Also, we didn't get our Thai tea or Thai lemonade we ordered. So... Bonus $13 for them, I guess. Food was otherwise great.

Oh my was this place great. The rice noodles were divine. I got the level 5 spicy. It was realistically only a 3 but they tried. I would eat here again and again. I look forward to trying the fried rice some time. The price vs portion was fantastic.

we ordered takeout. We had a curry with vegetables that were cut too big. The potatoes and carrots were not done I’m kind of crunchy. The curry itself had a good flavor though. And we ordered a salad with green papaya and shrimp. We got about almost 2 pounds of the papaya for shrimp and nothing else not impressed.

Zoo Thai is phenomenal. We now have a new favorite restaurant to visit when we are in Missoula. The flavor in each dish was incredible. We ordered level 3 spice, and while it had a kick it was not overwhelming and the flavors were incredibe!

Seriously the best food in Missoula! Whenever I have friends visiting out of town I take them here. I come here by myself about twice a month by myself and enjoy a spiked Thai tea at the bar. I highly recommend!

I travel a lot to Missoula for work & this is my go to! I had the Pad Kee Mao or Drunken Noodles and it was/is spot on, 3⭐️ and great tofu. The serving was aplenty and also ready right on time for pick up. I can also attest to the cocktails—excellent!

My boyfriend and I eat here probably 3x a month because we absolutely love it, and recently they've had a special pop up here and there on the menu that should 100% be a permanent fixture on the menu....PORK LETTUCE WRAPS FOR LIFE!!!! 10/10 AMAZING

Good food, but I wish the menu had been more clear about vegan options.

Honestly the food is amazing but I don’t think that it’s worth the price!
