Food is amazing. I've probably had the entire menu and everything is done well. Cocktails are also incredible.

I have to stay the staff is what saved us from walking out. We made a reservation for 6 people, needed to add one. Was told NO! Was told that there was no way to accommodate the additional person. We were told that we could try to walk in because the restaurant saves tables for walk ins. Upon arrival, the manager told us that they had a reservation for 40 people that night and would not be able to sit the 7 of us together. He told us the restaurant moved all reservations to the lower room to accommodate the 40 person reservation that was coming in. We were willing to split up to two tables. We sat a table for 5 and 2 at the bar. The server was phenomenal, the bartender made great drinks. The food was mediocre at best. We asked for NO additional cilantro on top. I think the chef placed a double serving of cilantro on top. The guacamole had NO flavor once you took the first few bites and spices from the topping were gone. The salsa was ok, not mind blowing like we were told. I did ask for the food to have a more mild taste, I think that translate to extra spicy. Our mushroom rajas were truly not edible by any of the 5 people at my table. Not a great experience. All 7 of us would NOT return to this restaurant. Much prefer Tupelo Grille. Same owners, different vibe all together.

Always a great quality Mexican dinner! The staff is terrific and the tacos were all amazing. We did a lot of sharing among 4 people and enjoyed it all.

Jalisco Cantina is one of the few Whitefish restaurants that we've not been to over the years because we just weren't sure about "Mountain Mexican"... We decided to give JC a go (finally) and unfortunately we were not impressed. To start, it's got a great feel to it (nicely designed/decorated place with that "Montana Cool" feel) and the service was excellent, but the food on the other hand was simply not good. The chips and salsa were alright, but the beef birria was terrible (entirely too much cumin made it inedible) and the chile rellano was just ok. JC has a ton of potential because it's such a cool place, but the most important thing being the food is simply not good... It's far from authentic, way over priced (especially the drinks; $26 for a top shelf margarita is laughable), and exactly what you think of when you hear "Mexican food where Mexicans don't eat." We arrived for our 8p dinner and was told table not ready. Hostess directed us to the bar to sit. We were with 17 year old son, but thought we would just sit and wait, as directed by hostess. Female bartender was very rude to us. I explained hostess sent us over just to wait and waitress condescendingly told us we could not sit here. She yelled at my husband for moving a barstool, and everyone at the bar looked at us. She made a scene and embarrassed us. She appeared to have a haughty and poor attitude. Best item on the menu was the quesadilla. That was delicious. Our actual dinner was so-so. Pork taco meat was overcooked and dry. This was the least enjoyable meal we had on our trip to whitefish.

Excellent location for a celebration family meal. Lots of chips and salsa for the kids. The portion size is substantial, drinks are strong. Good micro brew beer for me (a white stout). Our new go to place when we come up to visit family

Used to eat here often, but now that the GM that started the restaurant has moved elsewhere the food and service have gone downhill. I no longer recommend this as a good place to eat.

Food was incredible! Kelsey (sp?) the bartender really made our night! Highly recommend the Chile Relleno with Barbacoa - sooo good!

Weird experience here. Sat at the bar- 2 bartenders working- one was phenomenal, the other was taking care of her friends and mostly ignoring everyone else. Food was good, as usual. Margs were on point.
There was grumbling from the staff about management, favoritism, and pay raises (or lack thereof). Idk man- I’m just trying to eat some tacos.

The food was not stellar, been here about 6 times and has progressively gone bland……….burrito used to be saucy and so flavorful and now just dry and no real flavor………..for the price it should be a lot better. The atmosphere is good.

Beautiful Atmosphere with friendly staff.
We started with classic margaritas and they did not disappoint. Fresh ingredients and amazing ice...it makes a difference! I
am a margarita/tequila conisourer and for a classic margarita, this was the best I've ever had!

We then ordered Pozole and Dorado tacos. Both were spot on flavor wise. Soooooo much flavor while letting the ingredients shine.
