Great location. Busy, but it's everything you want in a summit house!
It's ski resort food but the views are amazing if it's not foggy.

Great experience nice location. Plenty of tables upstairs and downstairs. Beautiful view. The shop that is located is small but has the necessities if you need to grab something quick for your hike or ski day.
Summit House is a great spot to stop for lunch and a beer when you’re skiing at Whitefish. They have a great list of beers on tap. Very easy to get to, just take chair 1 from the base. Get there early if you want a spot close to the windows that have the best view.
FYI there is no outdoor seating, I’m guessing it’s too cold most of the year to be practical.

I love the summit house, been one of my favorite places to hang out and meet friends for years, but as of this year, I will refuse to buy food until the prices are more reasonable. I’m not one to complain about food prices ever. I often spend more for food than I should, but $18 for a single patty bacon cheeseburger without fries is ridiculous. $10 for a small bowl of chili, no cheese or sour cream available. Pretty much a slice of pizza or French fries is the only thing you can get for less than $10.
Like I said, I love this place, and the food is decent for being on top of a mountain, but this most recent price increase has made it no longer worth it for eating.

Did not eat here, but the menu looked good. The views are the money here for this non-skiing tourist... we originally came to ride the slide (on a Tuesday); in September, the slide only operates on the weekend this late in the season.
