A tradition at Whitefish Mountain, the ‘Stube is the place where locals and visitors gather to hoist a glass and relive the day. Be sure to go on Wednesday evening for the Frabert Award, honoring someone who did something really dumb. The ski patrol sponsors this weekly event and provides free beer.
This joint was a pleasant surprise! Charlie and co. at the outdoor bar took care of us during a busy weekend. He was patient, prompt, honest and made us laugh! As 2 couples with varying tastes in beer and beverages, we were grateful for a wide selection of options. If you are in the mood for some elevated bar food, get the mozzarella sticks. I have been craving them ever since our visit. You will not be disappointed. The incredible views are an added bonus! :)

I understand the appeal of this place. The beer is cold and reasonably priced (by ski resort standards), the bartenders are friendly and the vibe feels very old school. If you can get a seat at the window then the outside views are great as well. I haven't tried the food here so can't comment on that. The wings were awfully tempting looking though.
