“This is a local place in the Akumal Pueblo. Great pasta dishes, tacos, and gringos. The ambiance is a Mexican street. Folding tables and plastic chairs, but the food is excellent and inexpensive.”

“Amazing!!
My family and I stopped by for breakfast, and everything was delicious. Authentic regional food w/roots from Veracruz. Staff was friendly and attentive-a family operated restaurant. We ordered breakfast; chorizo w/eggs, huevos rancheros, quesadillas, barbacoa, and carnita tacos. All was flavorful! Undoubtedly, I MUST TRY!!!”

“Nice restaurant, home made pasta, pizza and ice cream. The pizza dough was very good, the fettuccini fruti di mari missed a bit of taste/seasoning. The coconut ice cream was delicious.
Nice atmosphere but unfortunately very hot since its half open place so you only have ventilators.”

“Always great place for a casual breakfast or lunch. Thankfully the prices here are more in line with the local economy rather than vacation visitors. Get in here for a good meal at a reasonable price.”

“We just had the best few days here! The resort is beautiful and has exceptional staff. The activities team especially made our trip so fun. We were able to do the kayaking and bike tours which were a huge plus. All of the food was good but our favorites were the special lunch stations by the pool and the quesadillas from the grill. I would love to return soon and will recommend to everyone!”

“Had my first quesadilla in Mexico here, absolutely delicious ! They did vegetarian too. Very helpful and friendly. I wish I had of been hungrier to eat more, it was so good. Quesadilla was 40 pesos.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Quesadilla was delicious, has broccoli, carrot, cheese etc seasoning was lovely. They also did vegetarian tacos and burritos.”

“Inside the General Store before Akumal beach! Food is ready around 10am and they open at 9am. Google's hours on this restaurant's is wrong. The chef makes fresh, hot, broasted chicken, breaded chicken strips, fried seasoned potato wedges, fantastic, cold potato salad, great, vinegar southern style coleslaw, pizza as good as the US, whole rotisserie chickens,and all the fixings like buffalo sauce for chicken, parmesan for pizza ect. We got 2 legs, a thigh, and a wing with 1 side of salad for 10$ US. I cook alot and this is fantastic food! I make my own slaw in Iowa and only do the best potato salad recipe.Please go in and take it to go! Great food cheap prices! The chef is there from 9am until Noon. So worth the money. There is seating inside the store for eating. Had to try a bite of hot pizza before we got home. They bundle everything up into KFC like boxes! Our new go to for homestyle broasted or fried chicken and pizza!!!

“This is our 4th trip to Akumal and this is our favorite breakfast spot. The owner is quite friendly sly and the food is fantastic. The best spicy pick. I personally love the Huevos Rancheros, I mis it up by adding bacon or chorizo. The chilaquiles is spot on and this trip we tried a Chile rellono ??”

“One of the friendliest places right near akumal, and it's not a tourist trap at all. Very delicious food, well prepared meats, clean, and the salsa hot sauces were fresh, unique and amazing. Great prices great food and really a great find. Ate there twice got breakfast burritos and coffee and everything was great!!!

Kid-friendliness: The waitress was fantastic when my kids needed to go to the bathroom she brought them upstairs. And little known fact when you go upstairs to the bathroom they actually have a room full of parrots right off of the balcony, beautiful birds really healthy well fed and well kept and the kids had a great time checking out the birds. The bathroom was also clean and will lit.”

“OMG! What a good Italian restaurant. I travel a lot and have tried a lot of restaurants around the world, so I'm normally expecting to be underwhelmed with All-inclusive resort restaurants (even in the high end resorts). But this place had top notch food! The appetizers and mains were both delicious. The cocktails were good too. The only downside was as expected the included wine which was served warm and tasted like cheap wine (I am a fan of finding and trying nice affordable affordable wines, but this one just wasn't a good one). Everything else was outstanding.”

“Fantastic food and drinks, large portions and extremely friendly and hardworking staff. Fun music too! Ceviche mixto, chicken fajita, and chicken nachos were all so yummy, and the limonada very refreshing for the kiddos! The chipotle hot sauce is SO good!”

“This restaurant is on the water so a great ambiance. They also serve our favorite beer, Chela de Playa IPA Blanca ?. We enjoyed ceviche and a seafood pasta. They bring a little pot of oil and another with salsa for your chips. The oil is Uber caliente. ?️”
