I’ve never been a fan of this dish in the U.S. but here it was a treat. Why of course made by a chef who lived and cooked in the states for decades. I certainly hope to return and highly recommend. I went twice and wasn’t disappointed.”

“The chicken has a hint of sweetness to it and it’s extra crispy! If you’re looking for a taste of southern fired chicken this is the spot. The fries and the and Mac and Cheese are divine. And the customer service is top tier.”

“Tiny place with great decor and attentive service. I wanted to like the tuna burger because it looked amazing at first but it was a disaster. Don’t get it unless they change it to fix the problems. Other dishes looked good.

The tuna is not a burger paddy it’s literally several pieces of tuna steaks which tasted amazing on their own but because they’re thick tuna pieces half of it falls out. The worst part is this burger is too watery. The bread is literally soaked.

To the owner: the burger would’ve tasted great with just good toasted buttered bun and the tuna steak, maybe light mayo or something. Instead it was piled with a salad. The bottom bun could not be eaten at all. This made the burger not satisfying at all. You really should consider making paddies by chopping up the tuna and mixing it with something so they don’t fall off easily.

The tuna steak itself is an amazing dish on its own.”

“This is the best Indian restaurant in Playa del Carmen by far. I'd even go as far to say the best in Mexico!

The atmosphere of Indianos is truly wonderful. The environment is warm and welcoming. The staff are very kind and even the owner himself will make the time to greet your table himself. It makes you feel like you are eating your friends table.

And the food. Oh, the food. The food here puts even those I've held in high regard to shame. Everything is just incredible. The curries are rich with a tantalizing depth of flavors. Perfectly seasoned and spicy! They also can accommodate if you'd like less heat or more. I tend to like my food a bit on the spicier side and everything I had was superb.

I ordered the aloo gobi. My spouse had the chicken Tikka masala. Both were excellent. My potatoes were cooked perfectly and my cauliflower still had a bit of it's crispness to it's bite. My spouses chicken tikka masala had tender chunks swimming in vibrant and delectable curry. Our rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The garlic butter naan was tender yet crisp on its bottom. No chewy or tough naan here!!
I've also had the pleasure of ordering the chana masala. That is also an absolute delight! I actually don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here.

I have ended my meals with a masala chai. It comes out hot and fragrant. The spices in the tea are mellowed by the hot milk lending to a comforting drink and perfect end to your dining experience.

Over all I can't say enough good things. If you're looking for a great dining experience with even better food, this is it. You won't be disappointed. Portions are very generous and the price is more than fair.
You'll be back. And I will be too.”

Their menu has almost a hundred smoothie n juice options. Beyond the the restaurant juice bar was a mini-health food natural store with coolers of food and drink, including healthy ice cream. Whether you're paleo, vegan, vegetarian, dairy or gluten-free you'll find something to eat.”

“Coffee shops in PDC don’t open early enough but Ah Cacao was open. They’re much richer tasting than Starbucks. Their chocolate products are delicately delicious. The cost is on par with Starbucks but worth every cent to a weary traveller. We went back each morning and once in the afternoon for the service, coffee choices and atmosphere.”

Not sure what it made so much better here than other restaurants on the Vidanta site but we all agreed. Entrees were very good, we all tried different things. I had the Chile Verde Tamales w/chicken. Loved the masa, the rest was good. I'm prefer pork but this was the only one they had. If you love this kind I'm sure you would be very happy with it. The tacos are never a bad choice. The stuffed cheese was interesting (strange combo of ingredients) but worked great together. The service was impeccable. Can't say enough there. Our waiter, Alberto was the best. And the ambiance - can't say enough. Beautiful, outdoor and a nice breeze as well. The band that played in the evening was great. Lead woman singer was FANTASTIC. I'd go for drinks and apps to just listen to the band.”

I have a good friend who lives here too and we constantly are looking for the best pizza in Playa, he kept telling me of another place and I told him he needs to try Trattoria. He finally did and said I was right their bread, their sauce, etc. for their pizza is the best he's had.

By the look of their tan seemed to be there a while. Asked them, if you only had one night in PDC. Which restaurant would you absolutely hit? They said Nessya! I talked to the cook, he said the owner is French. Interesting. The whole restaurant is falafel based. Hence the name. They have pitas. Plates. Hummus. And even a falafel burger. The pita sandwich and the hummus was so good! They also have Mexican aguas de sabores or sweet waters, I got the tamarind flavor. Definitely a recommended spot of a delicious lunch”

“If you are in Playa Del Carmen you really need to add this to your stop. I have never experienced such an amazing flavourful steak sandwich before. I come from Toronto where we have a steak sandwich shop charging 17$ for a chewy flank steak sandwich BUT THIS, this sandwich is not only ribeye but its $7.00 ....yes $7.00 amazing dollars that I would spend every night eating. I'm here for a month and will be coming here for dinner for most of those nights.The sandwich - the meat is extremely tender cooked to perfection and very flavourful. You could eat this sandwich alone with no toppings and its still that amazing. The toppings provided are very fresh and add to the flavour explosion in your mouth. I loaded up with chimi churri, tomatoes and pickled red onion. You also have the option to have it in a taco but DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and get that bun baby, its worth every bite. They toast the bun so its like a nice crispy blanket for your steak.You know when you hear someone say, street food is good but when you find the right one its even better? This is the one!!”

“Who would have ever expected to find such a gem of a kosher restaurant in the middle of downtown Playa?! The food was fresh and delicious and our server, Margarita was supremely gracious and kind. Her English was excellent and she was constantly coming to make sure we had everything we needed. The appetizer of mexifries is a must- crisp French fries, guacamole, and pulled beef - a real winner. Flavor explosion!

Vegetarian options: I am not much of a meat eater so I was happy to see the salmon as an option. I got mine well done and it was perfection. A very large portion and seasoned just right. It came on a large bed of rice which had spices that I’m not used to (curry) but it was delicious and filling. We coupe not even eat dessert as we were so full.”

“Food is a bit hit or miss. Some dishes are fantastic (beef kabobs), some are so so (eggplant dip flavor was mediocre and cauliflower dish is a bit overcooked even though the flavor was excellent). Pita chips are too hard here.

Service is fantastic. My little one was super tired and fell asleep. I asked for the dishes to come out faster and they literally got to the table in 5-10 minutes. And offered towel and pashmina to keep her warm when she took a snooze at the restaurant.

During some nights, it can get very breezy here. Maybe best during lunch time.

The theme is Lebanese tapas. The burgundy by the glass was solid but need to wait for it to warm up from refrigerated temperature for the aroma to blossom.”

The only knock I will give is the carbonara wasn't very good compared to others I've had. The pancetta was large and chewy versus being crispy. The sauce was too creamy if that is even possible. That being said the chicken Parmesan was great..granted HUGE. Definitely split that for two people if you get it”

I also took a look at their cocktail list and it looked very well rounded and extensive. Would have been perfect for dinner too if I had space left over!
