“Everything very rich. The shrimp risotto was very good, large fresh juicy shrimp and a great preparation of the Risotto. Rich seafood salad. The cheese board is also very good since you can choose the ones you want. I didn't like the duck ravioli that much.”
“Arrived on an early evening flight to Cancun to a downpour but the rain soon cleared. Security checks at Cancun Airport were a complete joke, and it took up over an hour to be seen. Approximately 1 hour transfer to resort. Upon arrival at hotel you need to pay a security deposit of $500 per room, on a credit card. We were given a newly refurbished room near one of the swim up pool/bar. It was lovely and clean, and comes with all the essentials., e.g. bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities. The beds are very comfy, but very high. There is also free room service, if you didn’t want to venture out. We were told that all the evening restaurants had to be pre-booked, so we choose the Caribbean restaurant for our first evening. OMG the coconut shrimps, they are amazing. We soon realised that the hotel wasn’t very busy, perhaps 40/50% full, but the staff were always very polite, and couldn’t do enough for you. The beach was never busy or overcrowded, and you could still get a sun bed after lunch. The guys working the beach would setup some towels, umbrellas, etc wherever you wanted them. Our beach butler was Diego, we used to call him ‘Little D’. He always gave service with a smile, and had the Heineken in an ice bucket ready for us. We soon found out that all bartenders had their own ‘special’ cocktails, just needed to ask. Tequila shots are always available. The sea is quite calm and great for snorkelling. The paddle boards and single/double kayaks are available from the beach. The Entertainment team, led by Alex are fantastic. They don’t pester you, if you don’t want to join in the daily activities, which range from yoga, aqua aerobics, volleyball, painting pots or cooking demos. The team consist of Chris, Omar, Octavia and Hazeal. There was always one of them on duty day or evening, and they make a great team, even got ‘mum’ playing volleyball. They put on a champagne foam party in the main pool on the Saturday afternoon, which is great fun. Miss you guys already. Breakfast and lunch are very casual and you can go to either of the two main restaurants on site. One is smaller and quieter. As we were a group of 6, we pre-booked all the restaurants as early as possible, but the new week starts on a Sunday, so you can’t too far in advance. We used to visit Itzel in the reception, who was amazing and patient with our various requests. She books all the restaurants, candle light dinners, iron/ironing board, pillows, extra tea/coffee, and even organised a birthday cake. Family members realised that you can have a different room spray and pillow spray. There are also various pillow choices. All the waiters swap to different restaurants, and we had Alberto on several occasions, who was fantastic, and explained the contents of certain dishes, so that we knew what we were ordering. The food was amazing and all freshly prepared, and was in abundance. If you wanted extra onion rings, extra veg, extra rice. Noth8ng was a problem for them. The house wines were very palatable, including a choice of Merlot or Cabernet. Evening entertainment was sparse, but there was always Ricks Bar, open late. We did have rain, as expected but it soon clears up, and there was always guys racking up the seaweed. We did pay extra on our last night to visit Palafitos, which is the restaurant which over looks the sea. There is a private room you can book which has a glass floor, but there is an additional charge for this. We did tip on most occasions as the service was faultless.”

“Great typical restaurant
Very good and plentiful.
The only downside is that we don't know the dishes and when you don't speak Spanish it's complicated.
Music a little loud but bearable
It sets the mood”

“Tried the pepperoni and mexa pizzas and both were excellent. The cheese is incredible, made in-house. It’s creamy and melty without that weird sticky texture a lot of vegan cheese has. Easily some of the best vegan pizza I’ve had. On the pricier side, but worth it. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-15”

“Pleasant Italian cuisine restaurant, Omar's attention is most attentive, friendly and timely. The dishes stand out from the chef ?? (does not deserve paper napkins), the osteria antipasto, filetto al pepe verde, Tagliata, straccetti romani, the wine ? excellent selection (Chianti Val Di Merse) and the delicious desserts tiramisu and zoccoletti ( dessert bites to share ?). With the added bonus of the owner's attention. Outside there are tables and a singer ?? background music is recommended inside.
Parking: There is a public ?️ parking lot on the corner.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is only one level, it has a step to enter the bathroom ? not suitable for the disabled ? ”

“Place very close to 5th, 100% Mexican essence with creative signature food and authentic products.
If you want to try Mexican food this is a good place. The delicious octopus aguachile. Be careful with the mezcal dessert if you are not used to it. ?
Attentive and considerate service but perhaps excessively slow.”

“We went on a Sunday at 16:15 and it was quite busy, for sure is a good idea to have a reservation. We asked for the tastings menu. For 100 dollars we tried 8 dishes. Personally the first three were my least favorites. Ingrid took care of us and she did an amazing job. Congrats !! She knows about service and she is super professional. We had a great time. Excelente choice if you are in Puerto Morelos.”

“I ordered the seafood pasta and the presentation of it was so cool with the crab shell on top. Me and my friends took lots of pictures. Service was prompt and very well timed. They also had a stand for your purse which is always appreciated as a woman.”

“What a great little spot, nice to be away from the main tourist spots/traps on main strip. Fresh sealed juice, fresh food, one of the days I had the Tuesday weekly special of Posole. I’ve never been a fan of this dish in the U.S. but here it was a treat. Why of course made by a chef who lived and cooked in the states for decades. I certainly hope to return and highly recommend. I went twice and wasn’t disappointed.”

“I decided to go alone in Playa del Carmen, and I went into this restaurant with the idea of having lunch near my hotel, and it turned out to be a big hit.
The iced cafe latte is very cold, and if you run out of guacamole and chips, they'll bring you a replacement.
The cochinita pibil was especially delicious, and I wanted to try other dishes, so I returned with my companion the next day.
The air conditioner may or may not be working, so you'll have to rely on luck.
There seems to be a problem with the Wi-Fi, so you may or may not be able to use your credit card, so we recommend bringing cash.”

“Very very delicious place, I love how they serve the water in thermoses that keep it cold, everything is super well thought out, the gyozas are wonderful and the bowls are excellent, high in price but very fair for the portions and quality gets.”

“The food is very delicious and the staff very very friendly. You ABSOLUTELY must try the passion fruit water (which unlike other restaurants is not a water but a juice, which makes it so delicious)
Also when we ask for the bill, they are not aggressive about receiving a tip (unlike what is done in other restaurants in this city).
Vegetarian options: Yes there are several dishes for vegetarians like me”
“Really a great place to eat in Playa del Carmen, tremendously affordable prices, delicious and filling food. You shouldn't order two dishes, they are tremendous. I totally recommend it, it was our great discovery during our stay in Playa del Carmen.”

“Tiny place with great decor and attentive service. I wanted to like the tuna burger because it looked amazing at first but it was a disaster. Don’t get it unless they change it to fix the problems. Other dishes looked good.
The tuna is not a burger paddy it’s literally several pieces of tuna steaks which tasted amazing on their own but because they’re thick tuna pieces half of it falls out. The worst part is this burger is too watery. The bread is literally soaked.
To the owner: the burger would’ve tasted great with just good toasted buttered bun and the tuna steak, maybe light mayo or something. Instead it was piled with a salad. The bottom bun could not be eaten at all. This made the burger not satisfying at all. You really should consider making paddies by chopping up the tuna and mixing it with something so they don’t fall off easily.
The tuna steak itself is an amazing dish on its own.”

“Really tasty food. Unfortunately when we visited they were sold out of MOST of the menu. But we still had some really great food. Negative: There was a group of adults visiting at same time who has a group of maybe 6 kids with them who were screaming and running around like idiots most of the time we were there. Not the restaurants fault obviously- but to any adult reading this who has a child, take responsibility for your douche bag offspring and do not inflict your child's twatishness onto others on a night out in a nice restaurant. But restaurant otherwise was great. Good service and recommended place for dinner.”

“This is the best Indian restaurant in Playa del Carmen by far. I'd even go as far to say the best in Mexico!
The atmosphere of Indianos is truly wonderful. The environment is warm and welcoming. The staff are very kind and even the owner himself will make the time to greet your table himself. It makes you feel like you are eating your friends table.
And the food. Oh, the food. The food here puts even those I've held in high regard to shame. Everything is just incredible. The curries are rich with a tantalizing depth of flavors. Perfectly seasoned and spicy! They also can accommodate if you'd like less heat or more. I tend to like my food a bit on the spicier side and everything I had was superb.
I ordered the aloo gobi. My spouse had the chicken Tikka masala. Both were excellent. My potatoes were cooked perfectly and my cauliflower still had a bit of it's crispness to it's bite. My spouses chicken tikka masala had tender chunks swimming in vibrant and delectable curry. Our rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The garlic butter naan was tender yet crisp on its bottom. No chewy or tough naan here!!
I've also had the pleasure of ordering the chana masala. That is also an absolute delight! I actually don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here.
I have ended my meals with a masala chai. It comes out hot and fragrant. The spices in the tea are mellowed by the hot milk lending to a comforting drink and perfect end to your dining experience.
Over all I can't say enough good things. If you're looking for a great dining experience with even better food, this is it. You won't be disappointed. Portions are very generous and the price is more than fair.
You'll be back. And I will be too.”

“Look to the right and you’ll see an entrance to a yoga studio. The vegan restaurant is through there. They didn’t open till 9:30 so we waited at the front coffee bar and had coffee. It was an interesting “third place” for a lot of people that mingle there on a regular basis. I got to meet a few people. My first impression was the back area was like a cute secret restaurant and there was a yoga session in progress. My husband ordered the tofu scramble and waffles “a las dos” and the server misunderstood that those were two orders of the same thing, for both of us. My father in laws chilaquiles came out with my tofu and waffles, my husband’s plate never came out. For a while we clarified and they realized they misunderstood, while his mango water took a while to come out too. Many places in Playa Del Carmen you can expect to sit and eat a while because the food is made to order. Unfortunately for him that meant his food was just queued in as we were finishing eating. He was still charged as well. The patio was nice but we did encounter mosquitoes, they have Off on request. I loved the food, just bummed my partner had such a bad experience and didn’t get to enjoy it. #Veganuary *Updating to say we gave it another try and had a great experience. My son ate several veggie bacon and all the beans on my husband’s chilaquiles plate, and we ordered more beans. Great food and no issues. Updated from previous review on 2025-01-04”

“One of our best meals in the area. A wonderful mix of Mexican inspired cuisine. Portion sizes were good - easily sharable for both the appetizers and main courses. Wonderful ambiance as well. Get there at six to enjoy late afternoon light and sunset - you will not be rushed. But be clear about the table location you want (outdoor or indoor) when you book to avoid disappointment. Would return!”
