“Since moving to New Brunswick in July, we’ve tried a few Japanese restaurants in the area, and Sugar Roll has definitely been the best so far. The flavors were authentic, and the ramen was outstanding—the broth was rich, and the noodles were just right. It really hit the spot! The only downside was the meat, which was a bit tough, but overall, this place exceeded our expectations.“

“Tried the Teriyaki beef bowl. The food is a little bit bland... I think a bit more seasoning of the vegetables and meat would be good. But I didn't meant to be too negative since I think it is very healthy... lots of greens and l like the rice. The Teriyaki sauce is not so great, there are definitely better tasting teriyaki sauce. Overall, a good healthy meal but the sauce needs improvement.“

“It's a bit of a hidden gem, but everything they make is super good! The bibimbap was delicious, the sauce (korean barbecue I think) that comes with it was perfect! The chicken Bento box was super filling. I had the spicy chicken, it wad spicy but not too much. If you can handle spice, go for it! It was my first time trying Onigiri, I had the fried tofu one, and it was very good! Definitely a new favorite. 10/10“

“The food is fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Aaliyah, was helpful, professional and provided excellent service. Much more seating inside than we thought and also outside patio seating is available. Our friend, who eats there regularly, recommended JapanGo and we will definitely be returning to enjoy the great food.“

“Fabulous place! Will certainly be back. Everything available is made in store using the highest grade of quality products both imported and local. Great staff, friendly and eager to help, great atmosphere, fair prices and great dollar value. First floor is all about fresh and dry grocery products- including speciality cheeses and blue dot meat cuts. Second floor has a dining area with a large selection of olive oils and fine wines. Lots of seating area with an open kitchen concept. Bonus- roof top patio with personal chef service.

I would also like to mention that there are lots of options for those that are gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian.

“Delicious bowl of Ramen. Perfect on a cold rainy day (or any day really!) tried the veggie Gyoza and chicken Karage as well and everything was delicious. Our server was so friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
