Absolutely incredible evening of food, fun, and drinks with the best service in Fredericton! Theresa, our server, made the evening even more fun and memorable!

The food was outstanding. The presentation was good and each one at the table had a good meal. The ambience was lovely, however we did find that we had a bit of a long wait to get service.

We had dinner at Maxwell to celebrate a birthday. The staff, the service, food and ambience were great...we have no complaints except it was a bit pricey but the evening was worth it. Thank you...we will be back to celebrate another special event.

I have been to Maxwells many times and the last time may be my last time. I often get the beef tenderloin, which is my favourite. My friend and I always order it medium rare and it’s always delicious. This time is was raw. When they brought one back it was overcooked and done on the grill which they don’t usually do. Maxwells is usually a place where you pay higher prices for an excellent meal. This was terrible. I live in Fredericton and am very disappointed. The picture is how the brought the replacement.

I had the salmon with side of Brussel sprouts - both excellent. For $35 there should be a potato or rice and a side like Brussel sprouts. Had the Caesar salad - would not get again.

Unfortunately, one bad apple can in fact ruin the entire basket and leave a rotten taste in your mouth. Don't let the beautiful pool fool you - we didn't have the time to swim in between looking to replace all of our items after our eldest daughter (22 months) got covered in bed bug bites. Understanding that bed bugs do happen, I was extremely cautious to whisper my problem to the front staff. Penny was amazingly prompt to get management involved without hesitation. I had been thanked by maintenence and the first manager for being so level headed and calm with my 22 month old and 2 month old in tow. We had been apologized to by manager Ryan (who showed up in person at our door) very sincerely. Ryan had worked for solutions immediately. He noted that they would send everything to be cleaned. He even helped my spouse pack. Knowing the stroller, car seat, playpen, and luggage couldn't be cleaned, he asked us to price out the replacements. He said he had approval to replace items. He said to go buy what we needed (diapers thrown out and no PJs for bed) and that we would be reimbursed and to send the total of the rest. He gave us free breakfast at their restaurant, (yum!). I spent the next 2 days on and off shopping for what was available locally, placing items on hold. We couldn't do anything or go anywhere though - we had no clothes, blankets, etc. No swim suits, no sun hats. And our daughter was *miserable.* While an unfortunate situation, things were going arguably fine until manager Trevor became involved the next day. Trevor went back on all of the things that Ryan said. He refused to follow through. After a lengthy discussion in the lobby, he decided it was all okay again and back to the original plan. He offered to have someone go shopping on our behalf. I declined, stating that I needed to go try seats as the local store didnt have our particular seat which is just the right angle for our 2 month old daughters medical problem. I said we couldn't afford to go replace it all up front, so he "went to look for cash" which they didn't have, so he agreed to have a check within 24 hours. He offered pest control to say if our stuff was bug free to just keep it, but after saying how uncomfortable we were with the unknown, he agreed to the original plan again. I went to deal with the situation yet again, placing items on hold. My partner was across the street at a convention in his shorts and tshirt because his dress clothes were gone. Also fun! He later in the day called me to talk, and renagged it all again. He stated we were unreasonable (which is funny, considering we weren't the ones who offered the replacement idea to begin with). He stated that he "never said that" earlier. He earlier also made a hot headed comment that for all he knows, we brought them from Ontario. Funny again, given the current issue within the city and province of NB. It seems anytime a man was present, he was confused about how OUR conversations had gone. Yes, I said what I said. Eventually with pest control, maintenance, and my spouse present he decided if pest control couldn't promise there was 0% chance of future bugs on our stuff, he would continue with the check from accounting to replace our items. In the end, pest control said exactly what they told me the day before - while unlikely, we would have to wait and see. Wait and see while we travel to 2 other provinces before home is not an option we felt comfortable with. Despite what he said minutes before, after being told that there is a chance, albeit small, he still refused saying he didn't feel it was appropriate. "You're telling me you want me to throw out these perfectly good items?" I explained the frustration of spending 2 days dealing with this including a trip for medical treatment, a pharmacy trip, and multiple store trips to find replacement items. How we hadn't slept in what is now 3 nights, and haven't been able to do anything as a result. Our first trip as a family, and our

We order a ribeye and fries then we had a filet with Brussels sprouts. The food looked beautiful but was served cold. The waiter said they rested the steaks too long. He took my husband's ribeye back and they put it back on. It came out well done not medium rare because they cooked it twice. We were very hungry so we ate but we disappointed eating cold steak. The steaks were a good value had they come out hot. The waiter was average and didn't check on us but maybe he didn't because we said our food was cold. We ate at 5:15 and they were not busy yet.

Food and service always incredible. I always get the tuna. Great wine selection as well. Priced reasonably.

The food was delicious. My only complaint is that this is considered to be a high end restaurant specializing in steak and seafood. We waited a considerable time (probably 45 minutes) for our meal which one would expect and I had no problem given there were four of us and it gave us a chance to have a drink and talk. However I would have thought that the table would be offered some complementary pre meal nibbles such as bread/rolls/breadsticks with butter or vinaigrette or the like. Nothing was offered and so I mentioned to our waiter after our food had arrived. He told me that they don't offer because of the expense (?) and if they did then people may apt to order a lesser meal. Really? That seems cheap to me when the meal is probably going to cost $150-$200.
