We ordered 2 simple sushi rolls and waited 40 minutes. The 6-piece tuna roll was $8 and the 6-piece scallop roll was $17. Most overpriced and longest wait for sushi in Fredericton, maybe even in the province. Food was only average but unfortunately not worth the wait time and dollars. Will not recommend.

It was a terrible experience with very questionable service.
We got sat on a table and the server forgot about us for over 20 mins.
After calling the server, she was busy on the phone and just ignored us.

Restaurant was not very busy.

Own of the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. I would not go there.

Went with my partner last Friday evening after a photography session along the river and Naru was the perfect way to end the night. The soft lighting inside made the whole space feel incredibly warm and intimate, which honestly had me itching to pull my camera out again. We shared the salmon tataki and it was one of those dishes that just stops the conversation for a minute. The staff were attentive without hovering, and the whole experience felt genuinely thoughtful from start to finish.

Normally, I adore Naru and its staff. They are professional, helping, and love the customers. Food is fantastic.

Today, I was greeted by someone with a casual hoodie, and served by another with a casual hoodie, who I thought were normal customers. Additionally, my server *coughed on the to-go station, coughed in her hands, coughed in the kitchen, and didnt wash her hands nor was wearing a mask*! That's just a health code violation, and I just left as soon as I can. She is exposing so many people to the cold or worse.

This is extremely unprofessional and dangerous for those who might be at risk, *like me*, and I will be reporting Naru for this health code issue.

I travel for business and frequent sushi restaurants as often as possible. I visited Naru this evening and learned it serves excellent sushi, ttempura and ramen. If you need a sushi fix this is a place you will like - and I look forward to which I look forward tk returning!

Best sushi in Fredericton, hands down, however it is still very mediocre compared to good sushi restaraunts in big cities. Unfortunately, it seems like they're trying to cut down costs given that the fish is sliced extremely thin in both sushi and rolls. Service is good though and menu is quite big.

I had a lunch with my sister yesterday at this restaurant. It was my birthday and my sister always raving about this restaurant but i never tried japanese food before i was bit nervous to try. however! let me tell you this restaurant has soo soo many varieties and options to choose from and I would say it is the best restaurant and best food and the service is phenomenal. I would highly recommend to everyone please must try and after that you won’t be able to resist yourself. One more thing they present birthday special dessert for free.

Really wish I could be writing this for a positive review, because the food is pretty good, but I just learnt that online through delivery sites you can order two piece of nigiri for 4.50, whereas all the times I’ve been there in person I only get one piece of nigiri for that same price. Will definitely be bringing this up next time I’m there. Just really unfortunate since I’m a frequent customer and have been jipped multiple times.

I went there yesterday with my husband, because people said it's is a great sushi, even if it's kinda pricey. But honestly, the service was good, but the food was awful, and one sushi smelled really bad. I got a stomachache the next day. And the vibe there? While we were eating, some staff member was on speakerphone super loud in the dining area. Paid more than $110+ tip for a lunch, I won't be coming back.

Was once the best sushi spot in the city, but as of recently the service and atmosphere have taken a dive, the food is still fairly good but with terrible service and the constant yelling by the new manager, it destroys any joy and peace from this once tranquil and enjoyable place to eat at which I did weekly. But will no longer be returning. Luckily there are a few new sushi spots in town.

What a delicious discovery! Thank you Vee for looking after us so well & for answering our questions about the local area, most helpful. The carpaccio tuna appetizer was so fresh πŸ˜‹
