Yassou Souvlaki & Donair

I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate, and it was expensive. Extremely expensive. The food was great, but the portion was too small for the obscene price. I paid over $48 for 3 small skewers, 2 tiny pieces of pita, and some fried potato wedges that I can find at the local grocery store. The potatos were not made at all to mimic Greek potatos. I am extremely dissatisfied and hope to get my money’s worth at a different Greek restaurant.

Showed up for opening and dived right into some great calamari as an appetizer and before their amazing GYRO(Donair). Got exactly what I hoped for and also enjoyed skewer meats like the beef and lamb, juicy and tender!

Went in on my vacation to New Brunswick, had never tried lamb before. They helped me decide how to have it made for me. It was really, really good. The owners are super friendly, the restaurant is welcoming, and the food is wonderful.

I just ordered from Yassou & that was the best meal. I asked for substitutes... no problem. I asked to sause the sandwich up…. no problem. Speedy Delivery & Amazing customer service. This family puts love into their food. I highly recommend Yassou. 11 Stars!!!!

Went in for lunch today. The atmosphere is nice, clean set-up with lovely pics of Greece and the Mediterranean on the walls. I was really surprised with the dining room area as you cannot tell from the exterior how nice of a place this is to sit down and enjoy a meal (or maybe I just never looked close enough before).

Service was great, friendly crew. Willing to chat and answer questions and make you feel like a welcome guest. I was undecided on what to try so the boss suggested the combo plate and it was fantastic. The wait time was very reasonable given the care and effort that went into the meal. The souvlaki was tender and juicy, the traditional Greek salad with house Greek dressing was so good I got a bottle to go. The pita light, the donair meat was tasty, the tzatziki and garlic sauces were also spot on. So good actually that I purchased a container of the house tzatziki and the garlic sauce to go (a nice option they offer in addition to the Greek dressing being available to go). The potatoes and rice were good too, but the parts of the dish that should stand out (the meats and the Greek salad) did stand out. Definitely recommend! Will be back for sure.

Absolutely delicious food that instantly transports you to Greece—it's like enjoying a homemade meal right in a Greek village. Everything is incredibly fresh, and the warm, friendly owners are always present, adding a personal touch that makes the experience even more special. Highly recommended!

Best Greek food in the city!

The food awesome, the service awesome, the staff awesome. I would have given 5 stars across the board The only hiccup for us, was that the tables a little small and the seating was too close to others.
We will definitely be back, maybe take out! Best Greek food I've had in a long time
