Gluten-Free Options: This is an excellent take-out with basic eat-in, no real atmosphere, option available. We have done both and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I am Celiac and have not had any issues after 5 visits, so feel confident they do a good job. My favourite order; "Chicken Lo Mein with Rice noodles, no soy sauce" $16 and "Chicken with diced vegetables and Almonds (or Cashews)" $18. I order both and enjoy the left overs next day, easily get 2 or 3 meals from this order. Excellent service, friendly, fast. Bring cash or pay 3% credit card surcharge.

Disappointed in the taste of the food. I had a combo 7, the sauces where blah, chicken balls were very breaded and the rice was blah. I ate only 1/3 of my meal and threw the rest out. The dry garlic sauce tasted burnt, it tasted like it was an inexpensive off the shelf sauce. There so much rice, it could have served 2-3 people. Staff was friendly, except the counter clerk, she either had an off day or could use some people skills. My usual place was closed that day, so we decided to try a new place. My partner faced the same issue with her food
The best place for Chinese take out by far in all of Saint John/surrounding areas! Not only is it delicious every single time, the portions are huge and the prices can’t be beat.

We recently visited Golden Fry Chinese Restaurant in Rothesay, NB, and I had a pretty good experience overall. The service was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The staff was attentive and ready to help with any questions we had about the menu.
The food was quite tasty, and the portions were very generous! It's easy to overorder, so I'd recommend going easy if you're not super hungry. We enjoyed everything we tried, and it definitely satisfied our cravings for Chinese cuisine.
The only downside was the atmosphere. When we visited, the restaurant was quite empty, and it lacked music or any background noise, which made it feel a bit too quiet. However, it seemed like they were busy with take-out orders, so they must have a loyal customer base.
Overall, it was a decent Chinese dining experience, and I would recommend Golden Fry for anyone looking for good food and friendly service!
First they took one chicken ball away (now only 4), plus they consistently cheap-out on the red sweet & sour sauce. This leaves us with 4 dry chicken balls, and who would want that? When I told them about it they wanted to sell me a tub of it. I also have been noticing hardly any chicken (if any at all) in both their chow mein and fried rice. Having just returned from Calgary where I got a Chinese combo that would totally put Golden Frys combos to shame, l I'm even less happy with them now. In Calgary, I got about 8 chicken balls and tons of chicken in both the fried rice and chow mein, all for almost the exact same price. Golden Fry needs to up their game, but until then count me out!
Food is half decent for the price there, but when u wait 30 mins to get your order for them to tell you after that their debit isn't working, is crap. Then I called to tell them I'd come back but mentioned to let people know when ordering If issues with debit (that way I can show up with cash)... they hung up on me. Will never go there again. They were too busy to care about one customer.... eventually that will bite you in your butt.
Not like you care, but a simple "I'm sorry, our debit isn't working today" when I PLACED my order... when I left while waiting for my order I would have stopped at the bank that was right beside me🤷♀️

It wasn't good at all. Also u only get 4 chicken balls in the combos. The rice was good and the chow mein was ok.

This was my first time ordering from the restaurant. It was the best Chinese I have had in a long time. The curry chicken was very tender, lots of flavour and the veggies were very crisp. The deep fried wantons were delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here again while I am staying in town. There was no comment on the atmosphere as it is a take-out only.
