I want to LOVE the bakery so badly as I love to get fresh bread and treats regularly. I’ve stopped in multiple times trying an assortment of goods. Most of the bread/goods sold are great and fresh although slightly overpriced for regular purchase. However, it is reasonable as a treat every now and then. I am very disappointed by the macarons. Remember Vern’s? Yes? No? Doesn’t matter. This review could be either but SJB has a card reader for payment. That’s about the only difference between the two. SJB is a traditional bakery using the finest ingredients. Standouts include: bread, macarons, donuts, brownies, and tarts. Really though. Pick your favourite sweet or savoury treat and you’ll be as satisfied as I am every visit. ?
