“Let me tell you chef ??!!!!! My daughter was there about 2 weeks ago for a college tour. She came home telling us about Vittles at the Park. She is a picky eater and she talked about was the Cajun Catfish. Here we are 2 wks latter, with other family members and we all were thoroughly pleased with those at the front counter to everything we ate. I had the flounder combo with 2 sides (collards and candied yams). I opened up my dinner and I know I wasn’t going to finish it all because there were 3 nice size pieces of fish. I started eating before you know it all was gone. That’s how good the food was. When we’re back in town we will definitely be back & we have more family members accompanying us as well.“

“Amazing food! The steak cheese steak was huge, really flavorful, loaded with lots of protein,with very nice and soft bread. It's big enough to share beween two people. Their wings are fried perfectly and coated well with sauce. Fries were good and lightly salted. Their bacon cheeseburger tasted really fresh with a great sear. Definitely will be back to try their other items“

“Staff is friendly & very helpful. The feeding program there is awesome. community dinners served 1 Saturday of each month, afterschool snacks daily ,as well as supper and pm snacks for sites around the city. Big ups to Mr. Kasib Abdullah for all he does in this community.“

“This is my 2nd time eating here & eventhough it’s been a few yrs it’s as delicious as I remember the first time. The food was HOT & FRESH !! seasoned well , no salt or pepper required. Anytime I’m in the area they will always have a customer in me & my family. Don’t walk but run. The customer service is always on point as well.“

“Mixed feelings. Ordering on line was easy. Ordered 3 plates of French toast with eggs and sausage. Arrived and only had to wait a few minutes for my food. I asked for butter and was told they are all out after she looked in the fridge. I was disappointed because I like my French toast with butter. It’s a rare treat. When I asked how could a breakfast establishment be out of butter she then stated “we only include it if you ask”. Sooooo...I’m asking now? Also, there was no option to request butter on line. Every restaurant where I’ve ordered waffles, pancakes or French toast has just included butter. On the positive, the portions were large and the French toast was good. I did not like the way the eggs were made - scrambled with cheese just placed on top instead of mixed in.“

“Fried chicken, greens and mac & cheese. Chicken fried to order deli y. Greens seasoned well added a splash of vinegar. Mac & cheese creamy and awesome flavor. Bug juice, like I remember as a child (a little too sweet for the adult me), still good though. Food was hot, the way food be. Everyone was very friendly, staff as well as patrons. Will be going back to try their Oxtails,yum!!!!“

“It’s my first time eating here and I loved the food. I had egg and cheese omelets, home fries, bacon, and a fish patty. It was all very good. The staff were friendly and the I liked the atmosphere of the cafeteria. The only con I can think of is that I live so far away. I stopped by here on the way to a doctor’s appointment and I’m glad I did. I apologize for posting a photo of a partially eaten breakfast but I was enjoying this meal before I thought to take a picture.“

“My family eats here about twice a month and we are usually very satisfied with our meals. However, yesterday, my husband ordered an 8 piece chicken family pack with 2 sides, 1/2 gallon of tea and some Bbq. Sounds good right? He brings the meal home and I immediately take a peek and grab a wing. I bit into it and it tasted different. I brought the wing up to my husband and asked if the batter looked different than what we usually get. Not only that but the taste was off. It tasted as if the chicken hadnt been seasoned at all. The only compliment i had was that it was “done.” I go down to fix the kids a plate and i took the covering off of the chicken and a few pieces were black- burned to a crisp- inedible. Which explained why the other chicken tasted bad. I told me husband the chicken was burned and he told me he had to wait a long time for the fresh chicken... and apparently the burned chicken was “fresh”. Out of 8 pieces of chicken only 4 were somewhat edible. I was happy we had the BBQ as the second meat but when i tasted it it was bland and dry. Like “i cant swallow dry”. Disappointed, we settled on eating the mac and cheese and green beans and tea. A 1/2 gallon of tea came with the meal, so they filled a gallon up half way which is perfectly fine. Well the tea was rancid. Ive never had “old tea” but this was the equivalent of spoiled milk. The mac and cheese was also bland and uneventful. The kids ate the green beans. I didnt get to taste those but since the kids ate them, I assume they were good. Everything else was trashed. We would have taken it back if we had discovered the monstrosity of it all before it closed. I am HIGHLY disappointed and have never had a problem with inconsistencies in taste until now, but this was enough to stop me from going back.“
