A delightful restaurant with all sorts of records - 45s, 33.3s on the walls with album covers, also. A great staff member looked after us, and she was very kind although we entered the restaurant near closing time. We were welcomed, never rushed, presented with delicious sandwiches and enjoyed listening to great songs! Andrews, NC - you have a great place to call your own!
The instant I walked-in, felt very welcome by the friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Simple menu. Great taste. Reasonable prices. The breakfast special of 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and country fried steak costed only $10.99. I wish every town had a little local diner such as Maria's.
Sorry no pics of the food but it was so incredibly awesome I couldn’t stop shoveling it in my face! We made our own southern faves breakfast combo of country fried steak, grits, biscuits & gravy, eggs, & hash browns. Best biscuit ever defied the laws of physics. Stayed super fluffy under the perfectly rich gravy yet wasn’t at all dry. CFS perfectly crisp without being greasy. The HBs by far the weak link so would skip, but totally forgiven considering they offer them...
