My wife and I used to frequent this place back in the 90s quite often when we worked close by and have very fond memories of great food. We went back today for some nostalgia for my birthday. Very disappointed. The food had very little flavor. Even the salsa had a watered down taste. We asked for a refill and it was just as bad. I don't know how you can make food taste so bland. Anyway, hate to say it but that will be our last visit. It's been a good run.

The place was renewed since we last visited 13 years ago, it looks amazing, clean, cozy, quiet, the service was excellent and the food fresh and delicious. We will return.

I was looking forward to taking a break from work going to this restaurant.
My waiter Steeven, seemed timid to ask me my drink order.
He gave me a moment for my food order since I asked.
Having my drink and my food i was good, but then my sweet tea was gone!
He was at the back left of the restaurant just looking at his phone the entire time! I was hoping he would come and check on me or even refill my tea... I decided to go ahead and eat the last half of my food. Not until I had finished everything and slid my plate over He finally came to check and ask how was the food?!?
I politely asked for a sweet tea to go.
He brought that with the check.
I felt bad leaving him no tip for my first time in years especially for a Mexican restaurant. I normally have great experiences and good customer service by waiter/waitress.

This waiter cared more about his phone and talking than his table service for customers. I almost left him a note on the receipt but instead wanted to leave a review.

I will say the food was good just not the service.

Black beans no flavor.
Spanish rice dry and cold.
Skip this place.

This is my go to Mexican place in Apex. Friendly and responsive service, fresh ingredients, and nice portions. I love it.

Great good and very nice and funny waiters. Food is honestly decently priced for good quality Mexican food.

Food was good, drinks were great but service definitely lacked today. I’ll blame it on being a busy Friday night.

Wonderful establishment with old Mexico vibes! Great food, excellent attentive staff and great prices!
