Serafina Ristorante in downtown Apex is a restaurant that checks all of the big boxes. The food is top-notch, the servers are friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. This place is a best kept secret, offering lunch portions that are perfect and a caliber of chef’s skills that is quite impressive to find in a little town. The restaurant is a nice date night spot and a great addition to downtown Apex.
The menu features items like Focaccia, Burrata, Rigatoni Bolognese, Short Rib, Short Rib Angnelotti, Cacio e Pepe, and Cannolis, which are a must have. The pasta is al dente, and the Cacio e Pepe and Bolognese are favorites. The restaurant is a north Italy style restaurant, so portions are not huge like a southern Italy style restaurant. The staff is great from the hostess to the server, and they are knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind. The service is excellent, and the staff goes out of their way to make celebrations special. They are also very knowledgeable about allergies and accommodating for gluten-free options. The drink and wine menu matches the food, with the 043 and the Inno Alla Vita - Barbera D’ Alba being highly recommended. The restaurant is beautiful enough for a family event but also a great spot to grab a quick delicious lunch.
